"We have enjoyed a lovely week at Brindles Cottage."
The house was spotless and very well equipped. Set in a very quiet position, about a fifteen minute walk into the centre, bus stops just around the corner. A picture of the third bedroom would be worth adding to the website as it’s a lovely room. Where and when to put the bin would have been useful too. We love Seahouses and would definitely come back to Brindles Cottage.
Thank you for your kind words. I am so pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Our manager normally takes the bin out for our guests on a Tuesday evening as it has to be placed at the entrance to the estate and we don’t like to ask guests to go to that trouble.
We do hope you will come again

"The cottage was amazing."
Well equipped with everything you could need. Clean and well looked after. It is in a great location - in a quiet cul-de-sac about 15 minutes walk from Seahouses, and an easy walk along the beach to Bamburgh. Also a great location to go up the coast to Berwick or south to the villages and beaches further down the coast.
Thank you for your kind words we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again.

"A lovely cottage in a quiet location."
The cottage was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The only thing missing was instructions of when and where to put out the bins, together with details of where to recycle glass as it is not collected. The location is great for exploring the Northumberland coast. We would go again.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Our manager would normally put the bin out on a Tuesday evening, we don’t want to trouble our guests to do this as it has to be taken to the entrance of the estate. Empty glass bottles can be disposed of in the recycling bin in the main car park in Seahouses but guests can leave them in the garage and the cleaner or manager will dispose of them.

A short walk to Seahouses where there are plenty of cafes & pubs. Lovely harbour which takes you onto the coastal path to Beadnall. In the other direction it goes to Bamburgh Castle. You can visit Grace Darlings grave in the churchyard & the museum. Many other great place to visit on your doorstep.

The cottage is in a lovely, quiet and friendly area and within a short distance to all the facilities in Seahouses. The cottage layout, facilities and cleanliness are excellent. To visit the interesting and beautiful places in this part of the country you have an excellent base coupled with garden facilities for a restful day if you wish.

"Fantastic base for exploring the local area."
The house was nicer than I was expecting. There are 2 lovely double bedrooms that are pretty much identical and a single bedroom that isn't pictured in the advert so I was worried how suitable it would be for my son (as the sykes description of how many people the house is suitable for is a bit confusing) but it was a perfectly lovely room for a single (child or adult) occupant. The house was very clean, well stocked and homely. Situated slightly outside of Seahouses so about a 15 minute walk into Seahouses centre but we managed it there and back each day, sometimes several times a day.
The back garden is also a lovely space with table and 4 garden chairs. Would be happy to go back and stay there again if we were ever in the area again.

Despite spending the majority of our time out and about, the only trivial comment we would make about the faciltiy is that the the TV in the lounge is a little on the small size, however, we reiterate that the standard of facilities and maintenance of this property is excellent.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We will bear your comment about the tv in mind and when it needs replacing provide a larger set. We hope to see you again in the New Year.Best wishes for a Happy Christmas and good New Year.

"Very clean property, lovely house from the outside and located in peaceful culdesac, couldn’t understand why all rooms were not pictured on the website ."
Would have liked it nearer to Seahouses to avoid driving to the village to park each day and then I’d be able to indulge in an alcoholic drink but that was my poor judgement and lack of nearer properties. All in all a lovely place to stay which was nearby all my favourite places . Small token of a welcome pack or welcome card would have been well received.Ive been visiting Northumberland since I was a child and as an adult this was one of the first times no card or small welcome token wasn’t provided . But would definetly recommend it .Night lights were nice touch at night . Great amount of coat hangers too .
Glad you enjoyed the holiday. I cannot understand why there was not a wellcome token in the cottage, we always leave a bottle of wine for our guests. Apologies if our manager did not do so on this occasion. We have stopped leaving tea ,coffee and biscuits as so many guests prefer there own .

"This was an exceptional property located a short walk from Seahouses and located in North Sunderland."
The property is only five years old and in a small development of properties built at the same time. The owners seem to have thought of everything that you might want with a good shower, heating system, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer , lovely rear garden & seating area for outdoor eating. The property is managed by one of the neighbouring properties and when I mentioned the electric kettle was leaking the owners appeared later that day with a brand new kettle; truly positive and responsive. Highly recommended as a comfortable base for a holiday in Northumberland.

The biggest negative was only one tea towel for a whole week this is totally inadequate. Also the property would benefit from a mat at the back door to stop freshly mown grass treading into the kitchen. Sorry we had to move the glass coffee table due to the number of bruises we were suffering. (And that was before we had a drink) . And lastly it would have been nice to have some pasta bowls. These comments did not detract from our enjoyable stay.

"We had a lovely & much needed week’s break in the stunningly appointed Brindles Manse."
The property is finished to an extremely high standard yet still maintains a warm, cosy country feel. Despite the current Covid-19 restrictions, we felt extremely safe due to the extra precautions put in place (late check in/early check out, anti-bac hand wash throughout & NHS Track Trace on door).
There were some VERY MINOR things we noted but these did not detract from our stay.
• Kitchen knives very blunt & there is no steel.
• Laundry instructions, for end of you stay, are somewhat confusing. In places it says leave everything in bathroom but elsewhere advises, due to Covid, please put everything in sealed bag provided (1 bin bag only).
• A very kind neighbour removes the dustbin the evening before collection & returns it. Interestingly however, bins are placed ‘on the corner as you turn into Brindles Manse’ not ‘on the drive’ eg: where you park your car.
• As another guest review had mentioned, we would’ve preferred the kitchen TV in the living room. However, we couldn’t tune in the Smart TV to the wifi (log into Netflix etc) so left it in situ.
We had a lovely stay. The beds were extremely comfortable & the shower is amazing! Could hold a dance in the kitchen it’s so big yet it still maintains a warm cosy feel. If you prefer more than Freeview TV, bring a Firestick or a good book! You couldn’t ask for more in a stunning part of the country.

"A great property in a super location."
It had been finished to a high spec with a lot of thought. Considering the current situation with Covid we had expected less so were pleasantly surprised.
All feedback is minor as we had a lovely stay and have recommended the property to friends.
We would have liked a visitors book to add thanks and comments for the owners.
The tv with dvd facilities was in the kitchen rather than the lounge which they may want to rethink / swap. We still played our films so was fine just comfier to sit in the lounge of a evening.
The bed in the double room felt small we weren’t sure if it was a three quarter rather than a double. With a 6 foot 4 husband it felt a bit cramped but we managed.
Overall just being out of our house in another place after months of lockdown and working from home was wonderful. The beach nearby was gorgeous and we enjoyed walking into Seahouses most days too.
Thank you
We are really please to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Brindles Cottage and that you have recommended us to friends. The visitors book has been removed from the property for the time being due to Covid-19 guidelines. The double bed is a full size double. If you wanted to swap the TV's around then this wouldn't have been an issue, we have left the larger screened TV in the living room as it is bigger. We hope to see you again soon.
