  • "Very well appointed cottage, with lots of lovely touches."

Attention to detail is superb. A Nespresso machine and air fryer are in one of the cupboards but couldn’t find the listed dishwasher! Dog blankets and towels, bowls etc for our four-legged family member. Beautifully finished and very clean. Was a little chilly downstairs first night despite using the log burner so the owner changed the temperature on the heaters for us the next day. The only negatives are a lack of curtain/blind at the front door, which with no frosted glass, left the door feeling a little exposed! The bathroom sink was very slow to drain and intact actually fills when running the tap (without a plug)! A perfectly situated little cottage with easy access to the Northumbrian coastline and the chance to explore NE England and SE Scotland.

Thank you for your review and we hope you enjoyed your time at Charlotte’s. We are pleased you found the cottage well appointed, clean and comfortable. We ensure heating is generously provided throughout the house in addition to including a large supply of sticks, logs and firefighters for the log burner. The front door along with the double glazing is new and features a barn style door in keeping with the period feature of the house. The property is south facing and we seek to maximise light and character noting that the courtyard typically has little to no activity thus ensuring privacy for everyone. The sink is an idiosyncrasy that can drain slow with the hot tap. We do not advertise a dishwasher but provide all cleaning products inclusive and there is a washing machine. Thank you again for your review. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage everything we needed just a little short on wood for the log burner, but it was exceptionally cold that week!"

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and we are so pleased that you thought the cottage was lovely – that’s great to hear. We hope you had a lovely week. We do leave a generous starter pack of logs and kindling for the log burner but we will add to our information pack the places you can go to buy extra for your stay should it be needed. We hope you may visit us again. Property Owner
