This luxury Newton-by-the-Sea cottage offers tasteful interiors exuding a certain elegance and charm, with open beams and trusses, limestone flooring and sky lights.

The open plan living area is perfect for socialising; the designer kitchen includes a French range cooker, double sink, granite worktops and a freestanding central island unit, while the dining area cleverly separates the kitchen and sitting area, which boasts a centrally-located Scandinavian woodburning stove and sumptuous seating.

What better way to unwind in your Newton-by-the-Sea cottage than snuggled up by the crackling stove with a glass of hearty red watching the “chef” prepare supper?

The cosy bedrooms in this Newton-by-the-Sea cottage beckon at the end of a long day, with quality mattresses, crisp, fresh, bedding and plump pillows; essential for a great nights sleep.

To the rear of this Newton-by-the-Sea cottage there is a patio and large lawn, where the picturesque, unspoiled countryside surrounding Croft Cottage can be viewed in all its glory.

Some of the best pub/restaurants in the area are just a short drive away, and the rest of the delights of Northumberland are all within easy reach, including the castles of Warkworth, Dunstunburgh, Bamburgh and Alnwick, not to mention those endless, empty, golden beaches just waiting to entice you.

Croft Cottage near Newton-by-the-Sea really is a hidden gem which couldn't be better placed for all that Northumberland and the Heritage Coastline has to offer.

Note: This property is adjacent to Refs. 1153 and 29817, together they sleep 12.

About the location

Craster 3 miles; Beadnell 4 miles; Alnwick 7 miles.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.
