This was our second stay at this lodge, its clean and comforfortable with good facilities but needs a little tlc. Theres a washing machine but no clothes airer or iron, these addition would make facilities great, The view over the golf course is lovely especially wen the weather is good. The hottub is fab and we made the most of it. We will return again.

Clean, tidy and comfortable. Only issues as mentioned previously are slow wifi/broadband (only 2-4 Mb) making streaming services a challenge. Faster broadband is available on site. Also the sofa is uncomfortable with base cushions slipping out of position. There is also no dishwasher which you would expect from a 'luxury' lodge.

  • "Lovely lodge."

Clean and welcoming on arrival. Wine, soap, tea towels, oven gloves, cleaning bits, bin liners all provided which are often missing. Collection of board games and books are a great idea. Really quiet location. View from the hot tub is fantastic. We had no issues over comfort of the sofa. The WiFi was patchy. Struggled for streaming TV and we had some rain so couldn't always be out. Ended up using phone for hot-spot. I would have preferred bath sheet size towels for a bit more of a luxurious touch and maybe an Alexa or equivalent but all in a value for money weeks holiday. Thank you

  • "Lovely cabin with lots of space and well stocked kitchen around plates/cutlery/utensils."

Easy to find and as it looked on the website, lovely touches around games and a bottle of wine + water bowls for the dogs. Amazing pitch and great for switching off and relaxing and a great view of the golf course. In order to improve my ratings then i would look at the following; Main sofa very awkward to sit on with it being a sofa bed, need to often get up and re-adjust to get any sort of comfort - a more comfortable sofa would make a huge difference. Lots of TVs in the property but due to poor wifi and digital signal whilst we were there they were never really in use, thank the lord I had my firestick/laptop and unlimited data on my phone for night-time viewing and entertainment.

Its in a prime location for exploring and visiting Northumberlands beautiful towns and attractions, The accommodation is well presented spacious and clean with a lovely view overlooking the golf course. The facilities are really good inc washer/dryer ironing board and iron it also has a wine cooler in kitchen although it is a little noisy. the hot tub is fabulous and we used it alot, the wine left for us was much appreciated and went down a treat. our dog loved his holiday, aswell as the treats left for him. just a few things(the sofa cushions do move forward and can be a bit uncomfortable, the hot tub could do with a windbreak for comfort and privacy and a clothes airer would be a good addition to facilities for drying outdoors on hot days. All in all though a great holiday was had by all and we will be retuning next year.

Good Afternoon, I am so very glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us this past week. Thank you for your feedback, my apologies the sofa cushions should be tied onto the frame so that they do not move, I will certainly ensure this is put in place in the future as a few guests have commented recently on this. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards, Alex. Woodland View Lodge Property Owner

  • "Beautiful location, perfect spot for quiet and privacy."

Lots of places within easy reach so a perfect base. Lots to like, beautiful living room and main bedroom, hot tub fabulous, the treats for Molly dog were much appreciated by her and the goodies for the humans were gratefully received too, however unfortunately there are areas that need attention to make it the luxury lodge it is described as. Kitchen equipment is very basic, struggled with no colander dor example, settee extremely uncomfortable cushion seating doesnt stay put, extra cushions for comfort would be nice. Extractor doesn't work in the bathroom, larger towels that wrap around you and nicer quality would be appreciated along with more comfortable bedding, the quilt in bedroom 2 didn't feel very nice and the bedding felt worn. It is annoying that there are no lights than can be switched off without getting out of bed in room 2, it is tight on space which is pointed out in description but there are things that could be done. The filter on the hot tub is damaged and loose. The outdoor area is in need of a good clean, I cleaned the table so we could use. I tried to hoover but it didn't work properly and smelled awful so had to do my best with dustpan and brush! I dont feel it should be expected to strip the beds and it's not pleasant to find a stain on the mattress cover which wasn't from me! The park is maintained to a very high standard and very clean.

Good Afternoon, Thank you for your feedback, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the wine and treats went down well with the whole family! We will always strive to take any feedback onboard and I have taken steps to address some of the issues you have mentioned including purchasing a colander and new Hoover. A deep clean of the decking has also been arranged. The bedding situation will certainly be looked at as our cleaning team are usually very efficient at removing any bedding that is less than perfect. So I am very sorry about this. I believe the stripping of the bedding may be a request from Sykes as it is certainly not in our check out instructions in your welcome book as we are more than happy to do that for you. I certainly hope these issues didn’t affect your holiday too much and you still had an enjoyable time. Hopefully we’ll see you back in the future and can improve on your past experience. It was very clean and comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing. The owners provided a few added extras which were a lovely touch.. treats and bowls for our pooch and a bottle of fizz in the fridge for us. We found the kitchen was well equipped for eating in if you wanted to. We ate out most days and found some nice places to eat that weren’t too far away. Sunday lunch at The Northumberland Arms in Felton ( 10 mins away ) was amazing. The bathrooms were spotless and equipped with hand wash and towels.. could have done with a bath mat to stand on but that was my only niggle. Overall, a lovely stay in a nice area of Northumberland.

On entering woodland view – a welcome pack was on hand which included a bottle of fizz, doggy treats and bowls to use a great treat for humans and dog! The property has a lovely view across the golf course and we saw deer running across it early in the morning, and heard owls hooting at night. There were two bathrooms and a spacious living area and kitchen which was well stocked with cutlery and utensils. It was very clean; the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was discreetly maintained daily and was a treat to being especially in the evening as the sun set and the stars came out. The dog walking area was close by and easy to access. It was an ideal location to explore the local area with it only being minutes away from the A1. Its location is perfect for visiting the north east coast. The lodge was set in a super position, as it said it was. It's very well equipped and the lounge is very comfortable. The hot tub gave us great pleasure. On the whole it was very comfortable. The main bed in the ensuite room could be better. it's very low and the mattress isn't the most comfy. The shower is excellent! and there is plenty of space, There are a few things showing wear like cracks on windowsills, a broken blind and the cutlery was a bit basic as was the cookware which showed it was well used. The lack of bath towels was annoying. The wine cooler is extraordinarily noisy and gets very hot when in use. Hence we turned it off. The freezer needs to be defrosted. On the whole though it is a place we'd come back to and recommend.

Good Afternoon, Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We can only apologise about the blind it was damaged not long before your arrival unfortunately. We have ordered a replacement which will be here in the next few weeks. Thank you for bringing to our attention about the cookware and freezer I’ll look into these personally and remedy the situation. We hope to see you back again soon. Kind Regards.
