"Amazing property, had everything we needed and more."
Owner so helpful, always at the end of the phone if needed. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to have a hot tub in the garden like the neighbouring properties. We had the pleasure of using a neighbouring one but for convenience, it's own hot tub would have been the icing on the cake for us. We loved our stay, our dogs loved it too and we'll definitely be back!

Everything was so clean and fresh.
The barn itself has been converted to the highest standard, I would most definately recommend staying here.
The pub around the corner (The Travellers Rest) serves gorgeous food, is dog friendly in the bar area and the staff are brilliant. The owner is on hand if you need anything but isnt intrusive in anyway...we would definitely book again.

"Turnip Barn exceeded all our expectations."
It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you might need. The furnishings were of a very high standard, beds very comfortable, showers really good and plenty of hot water all the time. Hand sanitiser was provided with plenty of cleaning cloths. We all felt very safe. The enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs. We would like to return when we are allowed to travel and would recommend this property whole heartedly. A bottle of Prosecco and chocolates was an added bonus.!!! Thank you to Chris and Julie.

"The spacious house was beautifully presented and very well equipped."
We loved the old beams and high ceilings. The choice of decor was stunning. The owners have put a lot of thought into how the different properties on the site work together, allowing plenty of space for parking, even with more than one car per property. Our back garden was really lovely with good furniture and a large barbecue. Furthermore, it was clean and secure for our dog to run around and play.
We booked this quite late after having another holiday cancelled but we were not disappointed. We traveled extensively in all directions and really loved the coast and the Teesdale area is breathtaking. We will be back!

We could run out of superlatives! A very well-provided for property that met all needs. The interior design was very tasteful and the addition of the Christmas tree and decorations added to the warm feeling. Very warm welcome from the owner. Safe and secure garden for our dog. We enjoyed looking out of the bedroom window to see horses and llamas in the nearby field, which disappeared for the next morning, so was it a mirage? Lots to do locally. We would recommend this whole-heartedly, it exceeded our expectations and deserves more than a 5 star review.

"We enjoyed our stay and loved the downstairs area as a family."
The log burning stove gave the room great atmosphere and warmth.
Only recommendation would be to bleed the radiators as they made a bit of noise and with 5 of us we needed more hot water for bathing.
These comments are aimed to be helpful and not a criticism as the place was enjoyed by us all

It was exactly as described but the many extra touches provided by the owners made it feel like a sumptuous and very comfortable home, not a holiday let. "My family and I stay in a holiday rental in the U."
K. at least once every month, We have very high standards and The Turnip Barn exceeded them all. Our trip this time consisted of two 39 year olds, our 11 year old son, and our mums (64 and 76), we stayed for 1 week. The barn is probably the nicest holiday rental we have ever stayed in (and there have been A LOT of very good ones). Well equipped kitchen and utility, huge living area with board games and books to use. We can’t fault a thing about the property or it’s location. The owners are both very friendly too. We are already planning to book another break there soon.

"The cottage was lovely and extremely well furnished and we immediately felt at home."
There were lots of little extras which were very welcome including treats for the dog which were unexpected and a lovely touch. Have previously stayed in many 'dog friendly' cottages but this one is by far the best and is truly dog friendly. Location is good for visiting various places. We were part of a large family group and so we had use of the hot tub installed in the property next door. This was an added bonus which we would have missed out on had we been on our own and possibly something which the owners might want to consider adding to The Turnip Barn.
