• "The owners Heidi and Tim are a delightful couple who went out of their way to make our holiday a success and left us many delicious goodies."

  The cottage is immaculate,the rooms are light and homely and everything you need is on hand.We also enjoyed the dogs and chickens. Doddington Hall with its cafes and shops is well worth a visit as is the town of Southwell,the old theatre is a good deli/cafe there. It would be great to be able to return to Petal Cottage

• "We spent a week at this beautifully presented, spacious, comfortable cottage."

  Great shower and comfortable beds, and a well equipped kitchen. A private patio with lots of pretty tubs to admire. Situated in a small village which was looking its best in the spring weather. Well situated for “touristy” days out ,walking or exploring the local villages . Very handy welcome pack, thanks Florence and Glenda. Heidi and Tim are the lovely owners….thank you for your hospitality we had a great time.

• "We have just returned from an excellent few days at Petal Cottage."

  The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well presented. Heidi, the owner, was very helpful and a pleasure to meet. The cottage sits in an historic working village which was most interesting. It is well positioned for visiting Lincoln where the cathedral is outstanding. There are also a number of very enjoyable places to visit in the surrounding area. I am sure that will want to return.

• "We had a lovely holiday in Petal Cottage."

  Heidi and Tim couldn't have been more welcoming. The cottage had everything we could have possibly wanted and we felt like we had arrived 'home' each day after exploring Nottinghamshire. The village is small but it is ideally situated to explore so many towns, villages and properties many less than an hour away. We definitely recommend Petal Cottage and hope to return to see some of the historical buildings that were closed when we were there in November.

• "A wonderful cottage in a delightful village (do explore the history of Laxton and drop in to the visitor centre)."

  Petal cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. I loved the walk in shower with great water pressure (wish I'd come home to the same!!). Heidi and Tim are excellent hosts and I would not hesitate to return.

• "We had such a lovely stay in the cottage with our two girls (11 and 14) at the end of August."

  The cottage is so beautiful inside and it quickly felt like a home from home. Heidi was the ideal host and we loved her dogs Molly and Frank! The pub over the road is just outstanding and there are lots of locally good places to visit.

• "Heidi and Tim were excellent hosts."

  They were very welcoming and have a natural warmth which made us feel at home immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in an excellent location with lots of things to do nearby, or like we did just enjoy the tranquility and setting of the cottage and garden area. The cottage is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. My mum has mobility issues and the cottage was perfect as the two small internal steps were easily negotiated with the grab rail. Mum also loved the walk in shower. The welcome package of bread butter milk wine etc was a lovely touch. I can't thank them enough . We definitely hope to return and have no hesitation in recommending Petal Cottage to anyone. Thank you both for all your care.
