    !!, came for my 50th birthday and it was everything I could of asked for. Mel was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property. Super clean, everything you could want and really comfortable. And for anyone due to stay it's the black dial on the hot tub, (turn it anti clockwise,)that makes it SUPER bubbly!!!!..Thanks Mel, I had a wonderful time!!!

  • "We were very impressed with Lake View Barn."

    All the facilities were very modern and being by the lake was very peaceful. All bedrooms were a good size and the pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely recommend staying here. There’s also a nice pub a short walk away about a 15-20 minute walk away.

  • "A modern spacious interior to a converted barn that overlooks a picturesque lake."

    Private garden space with hot-tub and barbecue. Games room with additional fridge, sink and storage, with a fancy chess set, mini games table (pool/table football and air-hockey) and additional outdoor games in the cupboard, 3 double rooms comfortably accommodated us as 3 couples, with one bedroom having its own en-suite facilities, and the other two sharing an en-suite. A sofa-bed is in the main living room so can accommodate one or two more guests comfortably if you need to, a separate toilet room is also present if you need it. Care and communication was brilliant. We managed to time our stay with a heatwave and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message checking if we had found the fans to help maintain our comfort levels in the heat. It’s a short drive to nearby shops and whilst it’s close to a main road, we barely noticed any noise from passing vehicles. The local wildlife kept us entertained, with visits from a heron, ducks and their ducklings, fish in the lake and even little tiny frogs on the lake-bank. We visited some of the local attractions - our main reason for travelling to the area was to experience the Crystal Maze, but we also did the Pac-Man experience, dined at a Mediterranean restaurant in nearby Leek and took part in their pub quiz, and visited the Telford Centre for a shopping experience. There’s lots to do in the area that’s only a short drive away. We had everything we needed and more at the barn and would strongly recommend this for your stay. We have already talked about coming back for our next stay in the north. Will definitely return if we can.

  • "Absolutely fantastic barn."

    Set in a beautiful relaxing location but within driving distance of several National Trust properties. The inside of the barn was tastefully decorated and had loads of room. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to self cater. We loved the hot tub after our days out and were lucky with the weather to take advantage of the outside furniture. It was lovely to watch the carp in the pond as well. Would highly recommend the barn and hope to return next year

  • "I don't think the pictures do this property any justice."

    Lots of additional items which actually went above and beyond. Like the waterproof speaker for when outside in hot tub. The fridges makes ice. I know it seems small but it was great having that. It was so peaceful and amazing to have the whole private area. Mel reached out to ensure we didn't need anything which was lovely of her. Really wish we could stay longer so will come back for a week next time. We popped to Chester Zoo for the day which is an hours drive away. Really can't fault anything. Can't wait to return.

  • "It would be good to point out that this property has low ceilings, we had to duck most of the time."

    We are a tall family. The hot tub was good but did not produce many bubbles. We were expecting a full size pool table and it was actually a miniature one and only suitable for children. However we had a brilliant stay and would thoroughly recommend. The owners have obviously worked very hard to make this a great stay.

    Thank you for taking the time to write a review. What a shame that you didn’t find that the hot tub produced many bubbles. You have to turn the air vent on to allow bubbles, and perhaps my instructions aren’t clear enough regarding this. Apologies about the confusion over a full size pool table, but there isn’t a mention in the listing of that, it just states a games table. With regard to the ceilings, they are mostly high but some of the beams are low and I will add that point in the listing . Thank you. Property Owner

  • "We have just returned from an amazing weeks stay at Lakeview barn."

    We could not of enjoyed the barn more - it was fantastic. Very clean, comfortable and very well spec'd with everything we needed. It has some great modern features too which enhance the stay and experiance too. Its an ideal place to unwind and relax but situated in a perfect place to explore. The pictures whilst making it look good do not do the property justice! Its brilliant and we certainly hope to return soon.

  • "From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm and extremely clean interior."

    It was made even more special with the Christmas tree and decorations. The hot tub, games room, various board games, library of books, high speed WiFi, huge TV with the different streaming platforms to log in were all in situ for everyone to enjoy. The barn is situated close to local pubs and shops, with National Trust walks and beautiful parks all in close proximity. We will definitely book again.

  • "The property was really lovely and perfect for our family group."

    Everything was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and attractive. It had all the gadgets you could possibly need and lots of extra touches like note pad and pens, lots of board games and reading books. We loved playing pool and the fishing lake was fantastic as was the hot tub. Parking was easy and the nearby village provided a handy shop, petrol station and fish and chips takeaway. The only negative was the traffic noise, being next to a busy road, but this was not a problem for us. We had a wonderful week!

  • "Just spent three nights at the Barn to celebrate my birthday with my husband and two adult children."

    The Barn is absolutely stunning, the photographs on the listing, although nice, really don't do justice to what you are getting. The Barn is immaculately clean throughout, there is nothing that has not been thought of to make the stay perfect. The owners are on hand if needed but there is nothing that you need them for as it is perfect. The hot tub is maintained daily to ensure it is ready for use, and it is perfect to sit in and watch the sunset. The lake and the wildlife that can be seen day and night is stunning. Would highly recommend the barn and would love to return and visit again. Thankyou so much x

  • "We’ve just returned from a fabulous stay."

    What a find! Lovely setting by the lake watching the fish, the birds and the wildlife, lovely sunsets and views across the lake. The owners are on hand and are happy to help with anything, lovely, friendly and welcoming with their 3 dogs! The barn conversion is stunning, very well converted with as many original features as possible. The place is immaculately clean, the beautiful kitchen is equipped with everything you could think of. The three bedrooms are lovely, bright and airy with comfy beds, exceptionally clean. The hot tub is a lovely bonus and great in the evenings. We also used the wood fire pit and the BBQ, the electric fire pit is also available if you want to buy the gas for it nearby. The games room is a nice bonus, ideal for older children and teenagers, lots of outdoor games equipment too, even a tennis court! The outdoor seating area is lovely and we had lovely sunshine all weekend, the only thing missing was a parasol. The only negative is the nearby road noise but that can't be helped. This is the perfect place for a family get together. We shall certainly be returning, thank you for an amazing stay!

    Family if 5. Hands down the best place we ever stayed. The place was immaculate. So beautiful. Lots to do and lots of space. We Could not have booked a better place to stay. Mel was extremely helpful with anything we needed. So friendly. The kids loved the hot tub and watching the fish in the lake. It really has everything you need. The beds were so comfortable and a huge kitchen space. We had an amazing time there wish we had of booked longer. We will 100% be back.

Lake View barn is a grade 2 listed barn conversion, within the grounds of a 17th century farm house, set in a rural location on the outskirts of Macclesfield, Cheshire.

This breathtaking barn conversion has been meticulously restored by the owners, featuring a private fishing lake.

Set on 13 acres, it's an ideal setting for outdoor enthusiasts.

Lake View Barn accommodates six guests in three king-sized bedrooms, including one en-suite and two Jack-and-Jill style, making it perfect for both friends and families.

Pass through the electronic gates into your private parking space, ascend the stairs, and enter the property situated on the barn's top floor.

The lounge, boasting original beams, a high vaulted ceiling, and exquisite chandeliers, offers a spacious corner sofa, a large Smart TV, and super-fast Wi-Fi, creating an ideal setting for quality time with friends and family.

Savour the views of the garden and lake below from the glazed doors leading to the kitchen-dining area, where a large country-style dining table with six chairs is set.

A step up takes you into the kitchen, featuring a sizeable central island with seating for six, perfect for a casual drink before dinner.
