    You will find there everything you need: poo bags, bed, blankets, dog treats, bowls.... Is clean, not too big, but enough for 2 people and dog. Very good communication with owners and lot of support from them. Highly recommended.

  • "Very comfortable stay in a peaceful location whilst my home was having building work carried out."

    Welcome pack was fabulous and all facilities were very clean. The lodge is centrally located for visiting Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire with many NT properties within 1 hour travelling or less. The nearby Trentham Gardens, Wedgwood Visitors centre, Middleport Pottery and the Gladstone Pottery Museum are all within easy reach.

  • "A*** Booked other accommodation only to find out on morning we departed due to something with property it was cancelled but we have say the replacement was found and we cannot say anything negative about the property at all just perfect for a relaxing few days the hosts were so helpful and freindly and were always available if needed ."

  • "Great Lodge which has everything you need for a get away."

    Bed very comfy for a good nights sleep and all you need for your dog to - bed, blankets, food & water bowls. Even poo bags and some treats. Garden is not enclosed so if you take a dog be aware. Owners which are on site also have cats.

  • "We found the property was spotless and very well presented."

    Fully equipped with everything you might need and extremely comfortable, especially the huge bed. It is well situated for visiting places like Trentham gardens and monkey forest, also for the Derbyshire dales. We were greeted by a welcome pack including some sparkling wine, a very nice touch. The owners are very friendly and the location is super quiet and surrounded by rural scenes with many wild birds. Would highly recommend.

    It was in an area which we'd wanted to visit. The property is a well located and very comfortable property and ideal for visiting in a the many places and sites in the region. In addition, as the Lodge is in the owner's grounds, it was easy to make contact if needed. We'd recommend it for a stay.

This area of the Midlands, set close to the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire, offers a wealth of sights and activities.

Choose a day of adventure hiking or cycling locally; discover the Kingsley Bird & Falconry Centre, the Peak Wildlife Park and Go Ape at Cannock Chase; or go explore the numerous hills and caverns of the world-renowned Peak District National Park.

About the location

STONE

Oulton 1.1 miles; Meaford 2.4 miles; Aston-by-Stone 2.6 miles.

Stone is a market town and civil parish in Staffordshire, England. The town was named after a pile of stones were taken the River Trents and used as gravestones for the two princes Ruffin and Wilfad. The church was built over these stones in 670 and lasted until the 9th century before being destroyed by invading Danes. Stone's reputation for excellent food & drink is cemented by the monthly Farmers' Market and the annual Autumn Food & Drink Festival. The festival takes place the first weekend in October and brings together the very best in local produce and cooking talent. It attracts over 20,000 visitors to the town and runs for one week with the 'main event' on the town's Westbridge Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
