Bentfield House is a fantastic pet-friendly house in the village of Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

This property is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking a spacious and well-equipped base for their stay, featuring two woodburning stoves and a variety of inviting living areas.

Step foot into your new holiday abode and kick off your shoes in the spacious hallway, where a pair of armchairs invite you to pause with a book or simply take in the tranquil atmosphere.

Drift into the first sitting room, the light fresh colour and large bay window give this room an cool, airy feel, where two plush sofas, both of which can be converted into beds to accommodate additional guests, are arranged alongside an electric reclining chair around a woodburning stove, set within a neatly bricked fireplace, topped with a wooden mantle.

A Smart TV is positioned for relaxed viewing, and an activities table is available for work or games.

When hunger calls, head to the heart of the home, the kitchen.

Wooden floors stretch beneath your feet as you gather around the central island, steaming mugs in hand, while pancakes sizzle on the range cooker, nestled in a tiled alcove.

The Belfast sink and wooden countertops add a rustic charm, making every meal feel like a special occasion.

Step into the second sitting/dining room; the drawing room, a refined space with large bay windows that flood the room with light.

A chandelier adds a touch of elegance to any meal on the 8 seat dining table, or arrange the sofa and two armchairs near the woodburning stove for a secondary sitting room, with a Smart TV for entertainment.

The four-poster bedroom offers views over the formal rose garden through its bay windows, a serene sight to wake up to.

There is a further adult size bunk bedroom, a king size room with an amazing view of the grounds and a very spacious twin bedroom with two single beds that can be made into a super-king bed, all with ample storage for clothes and belongings.

The upstairs landing opens into a generous space with armchairs and a selection of books, perfect for a quiet morning coffee or evening reflection.

Relax in the first-floor bathroom, where a freestanding bath sits beneath a window overlooking the manicured garden, and a large walk-in rainfall shower and double basins with electric light up vanity mirrors add a touch of elegance.

Freshen up in the ground-floor shower room which features a large rainfall shower, stylish green tiles and twin basins, offering added convenience for larger groups.

Multiple shops and pubs are just a short walk away for essentials or a relaxed evening out.

For a day out, there are local walks through ancient natural woodlands and green spaces towards the crematorium, or venture into Rotherham to view the mammoth Wentworth House on a guided tour, take the little ones to Clifton Park or have a go at some water sports in Rother Valley Country Park, which is right next to the exciting Gulliver’s theme park.

There’s also Rothering Leisure Centre nearby, with swimming pools and a leisure complex to enjoy.

There is also the local retail park at ‘Parkgate’ for all your shopping needs.

In Sheffield, be at one with wildlife at Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife Conservation Park, go for a stroll through the idyllic Sheffield Botanical Gardens, or take a visit to ‘Meadowhall’, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK.

Head to the Barnsley Metrodome for a family day out swimming in the waterpark, a game of bowling, and a bite to eat, or check out the Hippodrome complex while you’re there.

Whiston is a charming rural village resting between Sheffield and Rotherham. The village is renowned for being one of the most historic and oldest in South Yorkshire, with some of its structures dating back to the reign of King Henry III, over 700 years old. The village offers the chance for an idyllic stroll through its historical grounds alongside the Canklow Woods for some greenery. Dining options include The Hind, which is a lively pub offering tasty classics on the menu, whilst The Golden Ball is also on offer with a beer garden when the sun is beaming down. There are several shops on hand for stocking up on any essentials. Just outside of Whiston is the city of Rotherham, where you can visit the Magna Science Adventure Centre or enjoy the Clifton Park Museum. Sheffield is close by as well, offering further attractions and amenities such as the Meadhowhall Shopping Centre with a plethora of shops as well as the invigorating Gulliver's Valley Theme Park.
