  • "Would not recommend, from the minute we arrived at a very busy time on a very busy main road with no on street parking available at the time, there was no indication of where the off street parking for the cottage is, on guessing where it could possibly be there was already a car parked there."

The downstairs wasn't particularly clean and there is sparse furniture and furnishings, it was chilly of a morning and of a night and the heating thermostat was not connected. There is no information or instruction booklet for the cottage and no brush or vacum for ongoing cleaning. There is no real suitable outdoor area and there was a number of other unsuitable matters which when all added together made it very disappointing stay and we came home early. Pluses, It is in a very good location and the upstairs was clean. We have been to a number of other cottages which have been to the expected standard and felt comfortable and homely. If brought up to standard and maintained this has the potential to be a really nice place.

  • "Just to help the owners."

Would have liked an hours heat in the morning just to take the chill off and the same in the evening. Not sure how four adults or even two adults and two children could fit on the couch, needs extra seating and some cushions otherwise you have to sit bolt upright, good for the posture I suppose. Leave some details in the house about where to park. Couldn't find the patio. Might want to put more cutlery (only three knives) in the kitchen, a microwave and more than three mugs. No egg cups either but not everyone needs them. The beds were very comfortable but the bedside cabinets could be higher just so the light falls on the book your reading. Shower could do with a hand rail for old fogies like us and perhaps a shelf for the bits & bobs of showering. We enjoyed our stay and was taken by the area, amazing place and with a pub next door for a few jars of stout...ideal setting.

thank you for your feedback we will sort these things so its more homey and the heating gets put on a timer. a booklet of how to do things in the cottage is just in process sorry if anything caused any problems for you. thank you karl Property Owner
