  • "Having stayed in 13 Eagle Parade in June this year for a week , we knew the apartment well & both times it was left exactly the same both times we entered the apartment!"

Getting the keys was so convenient for us , just like leaving the keys back to the key cubboard! We would highly recommend this apartment for anyone requiring a 2 bed apartment to relax in & go out & about in Buxton ! Skye’s are so helpful when you book with them every time ! We had problems on the internet the day we tried to book for our holiday in Oct , but, a lovely chap dealt with our information for us & also booked another accommodation in Buxton for us to take our eldest grandson who is 23 years old & never been to Buxton ! We are greatly looking forward to showing him our favourite place in England to go on holiday to relax! Another lovely touch was a box of chocolates sat on the kitchen table to welcome us to 13 Eagle Parade ! Lovely quiet position as well ! No noise to speak of from any of the nearby bars/ pubs , etc. Massive thank you to all the staff who work on behalf of the company , right down to the people who clean the apartment & leave it set out so warmly with cushions & towels rolled up lovely on the beds! Best way to holiday in my opinion ! We will continue to book holidays through Skye’s as we trust that the accommodation will be just as it is presented on the Internet !!

  • "Love staying here!"

Such a great central location, with lots to do right on the doorstep. Booked with the larger flat downstairs for a family weekend - not the first time that we've done this - and it suited us all beautifully. Very clean and welcoming, thank you!

  • "Eagle Parade provided a great base for our holiday."

We enjoyed being so close to the centre of Buxton and getting out into the countryside. The central location did mean some noise (into the early hours on Friday and Saturday) but we felt that the benefits of the flat outweighed the noise! The flat was really clean, bed was comfy and kitchen etc really well equipped. The car parks close by now accept card payment and pay by phone (which allowed us to pay for parking the evening before and have a lie in!).

Very well equipped and well thought out. Friendly helpful cleaners who do an excellent job. Wheelchair accessible because of lift and new shower chair provided on request.

  • "To no. 13 there were a lot of stairs or a slow open-top lift where you see the whole lift shaft above you which is not common these days."

Once you are there it is a good clean, well equipped apartment. The main bedroom is very good and the second one cramped for headroom. Our stay encompassed a weekend and some street noise was present from the bars/take-aways until the early hours. At other times it was very quiet. We would stay here again.

  • "First the positives: Very clean, comfortable and roomy."

Other feedback: The address is written as 13 Eagle Parade. For people not familiar with the Buxton finding the address would be taken as firstly, find a street called Eagle Parade, the find street number 13 by following a series of house number eg we see number seven then progress along to 9 11 to come to 13. Well, there is a street called Eagle Parade but looking for 13 as described does not yield an apartment block. It turns out the 13 is the apartment number inside the unnumbered building. A clearer sign or description would have helped. Other than that, all good.

We were there at the weekend, so parking was easy. Instructions from the owner were very clear and the lift worked perfectly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Our second stay in this property with 6 other friends, and another booking with family later in the year."

Plenty of space, very well equipped to a high standard - no MFI furniture here! Plenty to do in Buxton, good restaurant recommendations in the info folder.. Car parking is a bonus too.

  • "This was a splendid property in which 4 old school friends (women of a 'certain' age), thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break."

It was comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean and provided almost everything one might need, including some 'sweet treats'. We had only 2 quibbles; there seemed to be no instructions for the Induction hob on the cooker - we found them 'online' and there was no encouragement or facilities for recycling. We found some, outside. Otherwise, excellent. Thank you. Sally Carr

  • "We stop here every year the apartment is lovely well maintained and very comfy."

The only thing this year there was no placemats, ( if there was we could not find them) so when eating on the glass top table had to be so careful, this wasn’t a problem to us but would of thought the owners would want to protect the table.

BUXTON

Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
