I can see us coming back here again. Might I suggest that it would be helpful to have some instructions for use of the television and cooker/hob, as not everyone is 'technically' minded.

  • "Absolutely amazing - perfection in cleanliness and didn't want for anything."

The situation of the cottage was also beautiful with fantastic views. If there was just one thing that was a problem it was letting our doggie out first thing in morning to do his wee before taking him on a lovely long walk - we had to keep him on lead as he could easily jump over low wall and there was no gate at entrance to forecourt which leads straight onto road.

Great welcome basket and a really nice cottage in a lovely area and the views are to die for - really enjoyed it and would highly recommend

Very sorry the heating pipes were noisy, our boiler is fully up to date with servicing , I will check for air in radiators but we did notice someone had been playing with the heating temperature don’t know if this was yourself or someone else so this could have something to do with the pipe noise. If you had dropped me a message at the time of your stay I would have had a look into this problem for you ( will look into the noise you noticed) Property Owner

Very well equipped. The property is in a very picturesque area with ample parking. The location is peaceful with walks from the door. Very close to amenities, just 5 minutes drive to Ashbourne and several supermarkets. The weather was awful but this did not ruin our holiday as we knew that we could return to this warm, cosy cottage. To be honest, we didn’t want to go home! You would be lucky to beat this accommodation for value for money. We definitely return.

When we arrived the cottage was impeccably clean and well presented and the lovely owners had not only left us a goody box of wine, biscuits etc. but had also left us some chocolates and something fizzy for New Year which we thought was a lovely touch. The area is great with so many walks and places to go nearby, went for a great meal at the Bowling Green pub. We will be back to this cottage and the area in the future!

We stayed in cottage No2 and the accommodation was spotless with the welcome pack left by the owners an added bonus. They say its the little things that matter and although for anyone who doesn't have a dog this is a lovely holiday cottage, the spare dog bowls, dog treats and .....poo bags were great added extras. There are some lovely walks from the cottage and the Royal Oak a ten minute walk down the hill is ideal for a drink and good food. The cottage doesn't have a secure garden but there is a large grass area immediately outside for that late night bit of exercise before bed.
