  • "Had a really lovely stay."

The house was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. We were there in early Feb but the house was really cozy. Easy to get about on public transport if you want a night out.

  • "This was a beautifully maintained cottage, ideally located to explore Matlock and the Peak District."

Nick kept in touch with us to make sure everything was set up on arrival just as we needed. The extra bed, travel cot and high chair meant that our family of 4 plus a baby could 'travel light'. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates to be able to benefit from the dishwasher. There was milk, coffee and hot chocolate and a selection of delicious, local chocolates. The living room had loads of games for the kids and a smart TV so they could watch a quick episode from Netflix. The dining room allowed us all to enjoy family meals and play boardgames, and was ideally located in sight of the kitchen so that we could keep an eye on the kids when preparing/clearing up. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and our 9 year old was very impressed with the smart speakers so he could sing in the shower! The WiFi supported several devices and there were plenty ty of wireless chargers for us all to be fully charged ahead of each day out. The useful information pack gave some great tips for places to visit, including a lovely Italian in Wirksworth (5 mins up the road) and Shine A Light event at Cromford Mills. Overall we had a fantastic break.

Thank you so much for the review, we're very pleased to hear that you had a great stay. Property Owner

There were some very nice personal welcomes like the chocolates (yummm thanks) and the tea coffee sugar and milk was a nice thought as we did not have to rush out before we settled in for a drink. I would recommend Elsies to anyone wanting a home from home stay. many thanks Bob and family
