  • "The house was excellent and very impressive with the amount of toilets, bathrooms and rooms available."

Our group had a great time and the location was perfect for a access to the town. The beds and bedding were extremely comfy, thank you for hosting us.

  • "This house was ideal for our group of myself, husband, 3 sons, wives and family."

We had plenty of space and facilities. We had 3 under two year old and the cot and high chairs requested were there. My only suggestion for improvement would be to give more details re parking prior to arriving at the house. I hadn’t realised that we could park a car outside on the road. However we had purchased 3 day rover passes which were good value for parking throughout the area.

  • "Arlington House is a wonderful place to stay for large, mixed age groups."

Plenty of space to spread out, immaculately clean, super comfy beds and all the cooking equipment you need to feed all guests. The sauna was also a hit with my sons. The location is perfect too being a stones throw from the town and easily accessible for other parts of Derbyshire.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad it met your needs and you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Didn’t find the knife drawer until Sunday afternoon."

Maybe a note in the information file would help!!

Thank you for your feedback. I had put a note in the main cutlery drawer but as you said, it would not be a bad idea to put it in the welcome information. We hope you enjoyed your stay! Property Owner

  • "A really lovely large comfortable house right in the centre of Matlock - great for last minute supplies but also easy access to the beautiful walks of the Peaks."

It was ideal for our large group of mainly couples, well equipped and plenty of space that was clean, modern and well laid out without being somewhere that you were scared to relax too much! The Christmas decorations were a nice touch too :-)

  • "The property is in a fabulous location."

The house was amazing for our family Christmas break. The only thing that lets the property down is that the TV upstairs is too small. There is a much larger one downstairs which is a great size but unable to plug fire stick into it as the TV is built in. The blind in room 4 is broken and has been mentioned before but still not fixed. Great that all rooms had an en-suite toilet and the games room was fabulous for the kids/big kids. Would definitely stay here again

Thank you so much for your feedback! The blind has now been fixed, the initial repair clearly didn’t work so we have had to replace the mechanism; with having back to back bookings we didn’t have the opportunity to replace it sooner. We have also taken note of your comments regarding the TVs and will make sure this is on listing; the TV downstairs is “built in” for safety reasons. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again! Property Owner

  • "All good - just a couple of observations from ladies using the rooms."

. Room 7 top floor - toilet leaking at back left and at front Wifi in basement not working No 'Resident at Arlington house' badges (made do with scribbled note) Not sure of room number - first floor with two single beds - Blind had to be opened/closed by hand (tricky whilst standing on the bed) as it wouldn't catch on the rachet thing These are merely observations and not criticisms as we realise that it is impossible to test everything all the time. A lovely house - felt very covid safe even with a large group as there was plenty of room and mostly separate bedrooms. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback! We rely on guests and the house keeping team to let us know about any problems at Arlington so really appreciate this information. We apologise for these issues but are glad you enjoyed the house! Property Owner

  • "We were there as a family to celebrate dad’s 80th birthday and the house was perfect for our needs."

The lower floor entertainment area was a huge asset and our teenage grandchildren enjoyed the pool table etc. The proximity to the town centre but also to the countryside was excellent. Altogether a great weekend was had by all (age range 14 years to 80).

The sauna at the end of long day is perfect to relax. We had some minor hiccups with the WIFI, but Danielle was very helpful and only a text away to help and sort out any issue. Imtiaz
