Very well-equipped, spacious and comfortable. We had a great stay here and recommend it without hesitation or reservation.

"Had a wonderful few days at Hunter’s Lodge - arrival all went smoothly with clear instructions for locating the apartment."
The apartment was clean, well maintained and snug and warm on a cold January weekend. Location meant it was convenient to walk down into Buxton or out to the supermarket to top up on provisions or collect a takeaway! The only improvement could be to provide storage for clothes in the bedroom with the en-suite- it had a feel of not being finished- not being ‘dressed’ in the same way as the other bedroom which was beautiful Would we stay again - yes!!

"Lovely apartment, comfortable beds, great bedlinen."
Very clean. Good to have parking too. Easy walk into town and great for visiting other nearby areas. Kitchen has good quality appliances but is let down by the cheap utensils, of which there are few. You can also hear noise from the apartment above and below, as the floors are not great and not entirely flat in places. The flooring in the ensuite back bedroom is split and broken in places and should be replaced as soon as possible, as this is dangerous and shouldn’t be used! ASAP! It really lets the place down and has been mentioned in previous reviews!
Hi, thank you for the feedback, yes the flooring has all now been replaced in the en suites, it happened in all 3 apartments, but they’ve all been replaced now along with the utensils
Thanks again.

"This is a lovely flat, which has large and open rooms."
The flat was very well equipped with everything you need.
The flat was well situated, just a short walk to Buxton and was in a pretty and quiet location.
It was also spotlessly clean, apart from a couple of minor issues which I messaged the owner about.
We would highly recommend staying in this beautiful property.

"The only problem that we found was the flooring in the ensuite which has obviously suffered water damage at some time."
This is dangerous in a room where people walk with bare feet. Understandably, this is probably a repair that can't be done whilst the property is in use. Apart from that the property has everything you could need. It's warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and close enough to the centre of Buxton to enable walking into town.

"The apartment is in a great location only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and in a quiet area."
The property is compact and very clean with good facilities. A second shower would be preferable rather than the small bath but it was manageable for 2 couples. All equipment is very modern and well maintained. The bathroom floors are unpleasant to walk on and need replacing. The beds were very comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay.

"On arrival it is clear that this property has been adapted to holiday lets very well and a lot of capital has been spent."
Also first impressions are very good but then it goes downhill. It’s quite clear that the cleaning company in charge of maintaining the accommodation skip a hell of a lot of the cleaning. There is dust everywhere there shouldn’t be, from picture frames to on the radiators, windows sills and in the bathrooms. The bathrooms have obviously had major leaks and floors have lifted and not been repaired or replaced. More than once feet were nearly cut and a trip hazard too. This also seems to have affected the flooring in the kitchen as it’s very noisy when walking especially by the oven and the fridge. Even a simple thing like the remaining a sticker on the bath now just attract dirt and looks unclean and could easily be cleaned off. The toothbrush chargers are a great idea but were cleaning toothpaste, again a very simple clean. No shelf in the shower is a daft oversight and considering the only spent wouldn’t cost a lot more. There is plenty of space for it. All appliances, crockery and cutlery were big standard cheap items which didn’t suit the finish of the property. The key safe is a great idea but extremely stiff to lock back up, it needs a small hook inside for the key too. There was a lot of staining in the mattress protector which again should be cleaned regularly. There are holes in a few walls that could easily be fixed, behind the bathroom door for one and the main window sill in the living room. I could go on but will stop here. We did have a lovely holiday but for what we paid the accommodation did let it down a bit.

"Luxurious accommodation, and impeccably clean!"
We had a very comfortable stay.
A minor comment: it was quite tricky using the roll top bath, as there was nowhere to place bath products except the windowsill, which meant a lot of twisting round to reach them. Perhaps a little table or a shelf?

"Overall we were very pleased by the accommodation and it's location."
The only downside (and perhaps we were unlucky) was that we were awoken at one and four am on the night of the 27th by loud arguments and the slamming of doors in the shared hallway of the apartments. My wife confronted several young (?) people who apologised. Nothing further was heard from the group several of whom left the building

"Hunters Lodge is lovely property, very comfortable and ideally situated near the town centre."
However a wardrobe or drawers in the main bedroom rather than a hanging rail would be beneficial as we couldn’t unpack some clothes as there was nowhere to put them. Also some shelves in the bathroom would have been useful. We noticed that the laminate flooring in the living and kitchen area was lifting and creating sharp corners, though some of this had been taped down! Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would return and recommend.

"Lovely apartment."
There was a very slippy mat in the kitchen which was causing a trip hazard and we had a baby. We lifted this to see that the floor was glued (still wet) and then sellotape over so had to put the rug back. Also there was no where near enough parking. We had to park on the road as other guests used all the parking.
Hi yes the floor had a slight repair that’s why there was a tiny piece of sellotape on and edge, there can’t of been wet glue as the repair was done 2 months ago, sorry this affected your stay in someway, the Matt you refer too should have an anti slip Matt underneath but well definitely have a look into it at the next changeover
The parking, there is 1 bay per apartment, additional cars do need to park on the road, but it does say that when booking the property’s through Sykes,
Thanks for your comments
