  • "We had the most beautiful week at Bryncyn."

The views are amazing, ever changing and beautiful to just watch, didn't need the TV once. At first entering the property we did panic someone was still staying as there were trainers and wellingtons and a bag hung up. Thankfully there wasn't. To have everything there on check in to make a hot drink was so kind and the welcome bottle of wine and treats were very much appreciated. Thank you. There was only the 2 of us plus dog so we had plenty of room. The garden was completely enclosed and such a sun trap. Loved sitting out in an evening. The driveway is quite tight. The shrubbery is very close . Fixtures and fittings are dated but everything worked perfectly. It brought back memories of visits to my grandparents so felt very comforting as soon as we walked through the door. Walks to the beach and coastal path so easy and in to town within 10mins. Highly recommend the Castle Inn for dog friendliness and food. The Secret Garden at the hotel down the road was amazing!. Highly recommend Bryncyn! So homely and so peaceful , just beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi thank you so much for your kind words - and sorry for causing alarm about the boots etc! The wellies come in handy when there is a really high tide! I was there myself after your visit and take your point about the track - my son and mates are going down so I have asked them to do the usual cutting back - an endless task! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come again Property Owner

  • "Byncyn was an absolute delight to stay in for the week."

The cottage had such a remarkable character, it felt like being invited to join a family holiday location, which gave it a lovely feeling from the outset. The large enclosed garden was great for the dogs (and for enjoying the sunshine all day). The kitchen had everything we needed, and having a washing machine helped us pack light for the week. The welcome pack answered any questions, and provided some helpful pointers on where to eat and drink and what to do locally. We found the location great - very quiet with occasional walkers on the coastal path, but only a 10 minute stroll to the shops and pubs in Newport. For anyone active, there were walks with great views in all directions, either along the coast to the beach, inland along the river, or up Carn Ingli of course! For anyone taking a bicycle, there are quiet roads (and challenging climbs) on the doorstep. The views were stunning and the seat by the huge window was a great place to sit and read while watching the tide and birds on the Estuary. While we were lucky with the weather, the fire looked like it would have been a nice place to sit by if it had turned. The owners were lovely, getting in touch well in advance of our arrival to make sure all was OK and checking if we had any questions before we got there. We are looking forward to going back again and hope everyone else that stays there has such a lovely time as we did.

Hi thank you so much for your extremely kind words. As we are just setting out on our letting journey it is so encouraging to know that you have had a great stay and of course we are delighted you plan to return! Property Owner
