The property

Isle of May View is a peaceful hideaway overlooking the harbour front of Cellardyke with views to the Isle of May in the Firth of Forth.

Ideal for couples or a solo traveller seeking a relaxing getaway by the sea, this property boasts a dishwasher, has WiFi and is close to various amenities such as the beach, pubs and the coast.

The property is entered from a tranquil street with two steps down into the hallway.

With contemporary amenities and relaxing furniture, this one-bedroom property has uninterrupted incredible views over the harbour to the Isle of May from the sitting room and bedroom.

A fully modernised shower room is located off the hallway, with the spacious and bright sitting room just ahead.

There is a dining table by the window to enjoy the sea views as you delve into your romantic meal with your loved one and dine on the local delicacies.

There is also a writing bureau with a bookcase which is a useful workspace if needed.

The kitchen flows from the sitting room and has an oven, ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher, which can assist you in whipping up your favourites and cleaning any mess left behind.

There is a wonderful fresh fish merchant, J Doig & sons, just a short walk away up the hill from the harbour.

You can buy fresh fish prepared there daily and lobster cooked and prepared when in season.

The Haven pub is also a short walk away with a beer garden at the rear, and they have a restaurant and opening times vary with the season.

Take a stroll to the small beach nearby with bench seating where you can swim in the harbour and have a picnic.

If you are a keen wild swimmer, there is a recently renovated tidal pool a short walk along the coast.

There are also some water sports available near the tidal pool with East Neuk Outdoors (a family-run outdoor activity centre on Fife’s scenic east coast in Cellardyke by Anstruther).

They offer a range of outdoor activities for individuals, families and groups including come-and-try sessions, half-day, full-day or multi-day options.

Activities include kayaking and canoeing, paddleboarding, archery, axe throwing, bushcraft, hill walking and mountain biking).

Walk to Anstruther where you will find award-winning fish and chip shops, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as independent shops including a butcher and bakers and an active harbour.

Each of the East Neuk villages are easily reached along the Fife Coastal path or by bus or car, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore this beautiful coastline, its history and heritage.

Take a boat ride to the Isle of May to experience the wildlife, or you may even spot a passing pod of dolphins from the comfort of the apartment.

This area is equally as enticing on the bright summer days as it is in the cooler months - watching the waves crash over the harbour wall.

Both harbours are inspiring spots, offering a relaxing escape, and still only a 15-minute drive from the bright lights of St Andrews (only 10 miles away) or the soft sands of Elie.

St Andrews is one of the most famous towns in Scottish history, and the religious capital of the Kingdom of Scotland in the Middle Ages.

St Andrews is not only home to the oldest university in Scotland, but is also known as the "hometown of golf".

The St. Andrews Golf Course is the birthplace of golf traditions and rules.

Golf competitions have been held here since the 15th century, and in 1754, the Royal Classic Golf Club was established here.

The Open Championship is held every 4-5 years and on special anniversaries.

Despite its reputation, it has always been open to the public.

This is a part of the world with plenty of diversions and attractions for every age and stage.

We think it’s perfect for that long-awaited family get-together or reunion of friends.

Isle of May View is the perfect place to enjoy the relaxed pace of life as well as a fantastic base from which to explore the many local delights.
