  • "Fantastic, clean,beautifully decorated lodge."

Had everything you could wish for. Needed a place to recharge the batteries. omg found it. Didn't want to come home. Found the double bed slightly uncomfortable but can't complain as you just need to use the enormous walk in shower to ease the muscles. Will defo be looking to book again Went to pitlochry and the house of bruar for some me time. Fish and chips were yummiest

  • "Beautifully prsented property!"

This lodge is immaculate inside, it feels like everything is brand new! It is even more spacious than appears in the photos, and we found it to be cosy and comfortable (we visited in February). It is also very well equipped, especially the kitchen - you only need to bring food, clothes and personal items! Highly recommended, we'll be back.

  • "We had a lovely time and the lodge had a "wow" factor in that it was clean, beautifully furnished, everything worked and was very comfortable."

Only one small suggestion ,an extra saucepan or 2 would have been great together with an extra bowl for mixing or salad,!!! But seriously we had a really good time

  • "Fantastic. If you had to describe the place in one word that would be it."

A beautiful spacious lodge in tranquil surroundings on the edge of a village that has a great local pub with fantastic food. Central to drive into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews etc but located in a very beautiful and peaceful part of Scotland off the A9. The quality of fixtures and fittings in the lodge is excellent and the owners are very nice people. One place we’ll definitely be returning to.

  • "2nd bathroom was described as walk in shower."

It was in fact a shower over a bath tub. Our elderly relative had to share our shower. The TV could be improved to be Internet capable so you access Netflix for example.

Thank you for your feedback the description error was a Sykes which has now been rectified. Whilst there is a TV there are no current plans to upgrade Netflix Property Owner

  • "Extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean lodge on a very quiet and well maintained site."

The WiFi which seemed to be a problem on past reviews has been upgraded and was no problem at all. Owner contacted us the day after we arrived and the day before we left to see that all was well. If you are looking for a chilled, quiet and restful break after a stressful year for everyone look no further. Excellent meal to be had at the Kirkstyle Inn only a ten minute walk away. Friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. All in all we would highly recommend this lodge.

We felt relaxed and at home immediately and the lodge was immaculately clean with everything we needed for our stay. We particularly liked the little den to the back of the lodge where you can hide away with a good book. We'll definitely be back.

  • "Lodge was a real home from home."

Fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Only gripe was the appalling wi-fi that would seldom provide Internet connection. Normally this would not be an issue but with covid there are a lot of places that require online bookings/reservations.

  • "Everything was excellent, would recommend, lovely an quiet, well maintained site, the only downfall for us was not very good for fly fishing, as this was the purpose of the holiday, did find Fandys, which was excellent, but others where to far away."

But this was just our personal opinion, an nothing to do with accommodation.

The wine and shortbread was appreciated made us feel most welcome. The manager of the site was also very helpful about how site worked and if we needed any directions to anywhere although site was central to most places.

  • "The lodge was very clean and there is hand sanitiser just outside when you arrive which is reassuring during these times."

The space was great and comfortable especially on the days where we didn't leave with the weather. As mentioned by others, we did experience some issues with the Wi-fi during the first few days but by the end of the stay it seemed to have sorted itself. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials to cook and the large fridge was very handy with not venturing out due to the weather! The inn in the village was really nice for food as well. Would recommend the lodge to others and would stay again!

  • "The lodge was everything and more than we could have hoped for."

Clean and very comfortable with a homely feel. The only issue we had was with WiFi connectivity and no mobile signal. However, this has little impact on our enjoyment. We would highly recommend this lodge and a visit to the nearby Kirkstyle Inn.

  • "We had a lovely relaxing stay at this lodge."

Beautiful and tranquil area. The lodge was so comfortable and felt like a touch of luxury despite being a mobile home . The furnishings and layout were just perfect for our family of 4 . Both bathrooms are spotless and the shower was better than at home , really powerful and spacious. Positioned in a quiet plot on a small site with lovely local walks round about. A large pond to walk around which graced us with a swan and sygnets and a flying heron ! Dunning is a lovely village and I recommend a visit to the Kirkstyle inn, drinks in the beer garden or some food in the restaurant both were great. A truly welcomed break amongst the madness of COVID-19. A thankful NHS worker .

  • "The lodge was great."

Everything we needed was provided. All appliances worked, although the vac was below par for suction. Furnishings and beds were very comfortable, giving us a most enjoyable stay. Only one problem towards the end of the holiday, we could not find an outside bin to put our rubbish in and had to leave it tied up in bags.

Very cosy and contempory. It was very spacious inside. The weather wasn't brilliant but the lovely accommodation made up for it. Come back feeling relaxed and chilled. The doors opening out onto the decking had lovely views. So nice to just sit out and look at the mountains and hills. I would go back again. I've recommended the lodge to friends and family. Another great holiday thanks to Sykes .
