Designed with couples in mind, this detached lodge provides an inviting retreat where you can slow down, take in the scenery, and enjoy a well-earned break from the everyday.

Step inside to find an airy open-plan living space, thoughtfully arranged to help you settle in from the moment you arrive.

The kitchen has everything you need for relaxed self-catering, an oven and hob for simple suppers, a microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and even a coffee maker for lazy mornings.

The sitting area is perfect for unwinding, with a Smart TV, WiFi, and a built-in music system setting the tone for cosy evenings in.

A handy utility space with a washing machine adds practicality for longer stays.

The super-king-size bedroom offers a calm and comfortable spot to recharge, while the sleek shower room, with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, keeps things simple and stylish.

Towels, bathrobes and slippers are all provided, giving your stay an extra touch of comfort.

Outside, the private balcony is the real showstopper.

With seating, a barbecue, and a luxurious hot tub overlooking the water, it’s an ideal place to watch the changing light over the hills or share a quiet drink under the stars.

Off-road parking and EV charging make arrivals easy, and one small dog is welcome to join you on your break.

From the lodge, the Clyde Coastal Path is easily reached, offering rewarding walks and cycle routes with spectacular views.

Nearby, you can enjoy a round at Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort, wander around Castle Semple Loch, or head into Glasgow for galleries, shopping and culture.

No village

Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
