  • "A delightful place to stay."

Its historic charm has been maintained in its renovation to create a perfect little flat with all the things you could need and more. The host has thought of all the things you might need even plasters. The home-baked cake that welcomed our arrival was a lovely touch too.

  • "Lovely, quirky apartment with old oak beams and undulating floors set above the old mill wheel."

Very comfortable and well equipped. Stunning views of surrounding hills. Railway line very close but trains were not particularly noisy and we were not disturbed by them. Really warm welcome from our host, Carol. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

  • "The description about the railway line is VERY misleading."

It is a main line that runs approx 15 feet from the lounge and bedroom windows with trains running hourly through the night!! The property had not been cleaned properly, thick dust on bedroom table lamps, dust on bookcase. Tea stains on teatowels, grey and stained dishcloth ( I've seen cleaner floor cloths!) Bathroom towels old, hard and stained. Mattress you can feel the springs so what with that and the trains hardly any sleep. This property should be removed from Sykes as it let's them down. Worst stay I have ever had!!
