  • "We stayed here for 4 nights mid August with our dog and can honestly say it was one of the nicest properties we've stayed at."

These barns are all new and highly furnished and very spacious. There are 6 properties, we stayed in Oak Barn which is the only single floor property. All the gardens are a reasonable size and fully enclosed. This is a working farm (cattle and sheep), but not intrusive. You are out in the middle of nowhere so will need to travel, but lovely places to visit at Ellesmere, Shrewsbury, Wem and Whitchurch. We didn't meet the owners so cannot comment on them . Property has all the essentials needed (but obviously not as comprehensive as your own kitchen!), a smart TV, broadband. For 2 people (& our dog!) it was a perfect stay, very chilled and relaxing. There was no bbq at this property (which it did state) and could possibly do with some padded cushions for the outside chairs, otherwise really nice. The bed was very comfortable and a lovely walking in shower. We were told there were some dog walking routes from the property but we didn't do any of these (I'm guessing they are across the fields!) We didn't try the 'local' community pub as it only does food from Thursday to Sunday. We ate at the Dickins Arms in Loppington which was really nice (a bit expensive though). A couple of nights we stayed in to eat, relaxing. We would definitely recommend this property and would seriously consider going back some time.

  • "We had a lovely short break at Oak Cottage last weekend."

What a fabulous comfortable barn conversion and lovely hosts. We have 2 dogs who felt quite at home and great walks nearby. Fantastic local community pub about 30 min walk with great food. We are definitely going back.
