  • "Immaculate, and exquisitely furnished."

Wonderfully comfortable and relaxing cottage. Sally was helpful when we had any questions. We would highly recommend this little gem.

  • "Despite being adjoined to the owner's property, Silva Cottage is an idyllic rural very private couples hideaway."

We found it spotlessly clean and very spacious with a generous, fully equipped kitchen. Sally & Alan seemed to have thought of everything, they even left us a bottle of wine made from their own grapes. It was a short drive into the outskirts of Shrewsbury where there are plenty of supermarkets, petrol stations and restaurants. There are plenty of visitor attractions to suit all tastes in the area, if you are members of English Heritage or the National Trust you will be spoiled for choice. There are plenty of walking routes and the Welsh border is very close for those who like a hiking holiday. After a long day out, returning to Silva Cottage was a bonus, it now has a hot tub in the front garden which we did not use but we did sit out in the enclosed courtyard garden to the rear, which is very sheltered. The stairs to the first floor are quite winding but don't let this put you off. The artwork and furnishings are to a beautiful standard and we really felt at home. Sally is on hand if you need anything but we found everything worked and didn't need to bother her. The cottage was easy to find, with plenty of parking and Sally will meet you on arrival. All in all, a perfect find, thank you Sally & Alan.

  • "Excellent cottage for 2 people."

Great feeling of quiet and relative seclusion. Facilities are really good and there has been obvious attention to detail which gives Sylva a more luxurious feel than many other lets. Unless you have strong walking legs, you do need transport to get around and head out in the evening for a meal.

The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need. We loved the courtyard at the back. The cottage is in a rural setting so quiet and peaceful, plenty to see and do in the area. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for your kind comments and I’m glad you enjoyed the courtyard. I think it gives you total privacy and with the added options of different seating ideas to either enjoy the sunshine or the shade . Property Owner
