When it’s time to explore, Garnffrwd Park is less than 4 miles from The National Botanical Gardens of Wales.  The Gardens are both a visitor attraction and a centre for botanical research and conservation.  It features the world's largest single-span glasshouse, measuring 110m by 60m.  Dogs are allowed in the Garden every Monday, Friday and the first weekend of every month.

Then head to Llanelli, a vibrant town offering the Millennium Coastal Park, sandy beaches, and family-friendly attractions.

Continue to Carmarthen, known for its historic castle, bustling market, and a selection of shops and eateries.

Porthyrhyd is a small village in Carmarthenshire, with the river Mynys flowing through it, which gives the village its name - "Gateway to the Ford".
