  • "Lovely cottage in a beautiful location."

    The main bed was comfy and the spare bed was easy to set up. My only feedback would be that there were only two outdoor chairs and two dining chairs, in accommodation advertised for 3 adults. It would be useful to have an extra chair, even if it was a foldaway one stored out of the way.

  • "What a beautiful location."

    . Our dog skye loved the Orchard.. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed... A very enjoyable stay.. A pity the weather didnt behave itself but the wonderful cottage made up for the yukky weather...

  • "A very enjoyable 7night stay even with a heatwave bed was comfy,bathroom and kitchen clean and all appliances in good working order, the view from the enclosed garden onto the orchard and adjoining field and was good for dog walks."

  • "Lovely little cottage in peaceful surroundings,fruit trees,cider farm and restaurant up the road and the Watchfield Inn lovely pub and meals are a good size for the price too."

    Not far from Burnham On Sea where’s there’s a beach and small town with some really nice unusual shops.lots of places to see and do with a 10 mile radius.we normally stay in Burnham holiday village so this was a nice change for us as we had the dog aswell.

  • "A lovely place to stay with our dogs in a very dog friendly area of the country."

    The holiday home was very well equipped and clean. Ruth and Andy are very helpful and friendly hosts. The only downside was the mattress was very uncomfortable.

  • "Our stay in the cottage was amazing!"

    It was cozy, the Dogs could Go Out on the Meadow and whenever we Had questions or any Issues (ex. We Had a Problem with the shower cause we didnt know how it worked), the owners came in a few minutes to help us. They we're super nice. We Had an amazing time and if we come Back to England this ist our go-to. :)

  • "Although this cottage is in a lovely setting with a great outlook and nice enclosed garden great size for 2 people and a dog it was clean but wasn’t very comfortable."

    The bed was dreadful and desperately needs a new mattress, it was so bad my wife ended up with a bad back. Not enough storage for clothes, needs a chest of drawers, no instructions for either the oven or the washing machine (that we could find). The shower was just a trickle, and the water kept stopping mid shower, although later in the week there was a water main burst so that could have affected the shower? There was a piece of skirting board missing in the kitchen area and a broken bath panel, which is not very hygienic. Not enough toilet roll provided and the towels had seen better days. There were holes in one of the throws on one settee. Just some basic TLC & DIY would be good. I realise that the owners are not obliged to provide a welcome pack but a pint of milk would have been much appreciated after a long journey on a bank holiday Sunday. It is such a shame because it could be a little gem but sadly we would not recommend this property or return.

  • "The mattress was terrible, the pillows were flat, the hot tap on the bathroom sink didn’t work and the garden wasn’t secure."

    My dog managed to escape in the first few minutes so I couldn’t let her out without being on the lead. I left early because I couldn’t spend another night on that mattress with no help from the worn out pillows.

  • "Over the years we have stayed in all three in this row."

    Always presented in very clean condition. The area is quiet. Dog friendly and Murphy our Irish terrier enjoys holidays there. Burnham on Sea Somerset a short drive away. There is also a local shop. Next door they sell Cider and there is a restaurant at Riches farm.

  • "Totally adequate for our stay, a basic comfortable bungalow, with everything provided as required."

    it is pet friendly, but be aware the flooring is wooden and so paws can slip around. outlook is very nice, also a quiet part of Somerset. we stayed in end bungalow, part of 3 linked bungalows. Mallard, Widgeon, and Teal.

  • "It is a fabulous location and a lovely cottage for our four-night stay."

    As an elderly couple, having a handrail to get in and out of the shower and bath would have been helpful. The bathroom needs a window blind or curtain; we felt pretty exposed at night. Our small Yorkshire terrier was made to feel welcome. It is a perfect location for astrophotography - I have superb photos taken from the garden of galaxies 7 million light-years from Earth.

Having parked safely on the private gravelled drive, a few steps will take you to the enclosed gated garden, perfect for your canine friend to run around and for you to sit in the sun with an ice-cold drink.

Come inside to a welcoming open-plan living space with a kitchen for you to show off your culinary skills in, a dining area for dinner dates or family meals and a sitting area with plush seating to watch your favourite movies.
