  • "What an absolute gem of a place."

It was perfect for a last minute break away - we literally booked it just a few days before travelling. When we arrived there was a little hamper of goodies - a loaf of bread, some butter, milk, apple juice, cider and 4 beautiful and absolutely delicious cakes. It’s such a peaceful place to chill out. Our eldest child the games room, and they both loved saying hello to the horse, dog and cats! The owners were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend Oak Tree.

  • "We had a lovely weekend."

Very comfortable bed . The owners are very thoughtful, the welcome pack was very good and there were other little thing around the place to make us feel welcome. The only thing I think would be helpfu,l is in the hand book telling us we're the shops and pubs are a list of dog friendly places we can go as well. We did go out of season but would go again.

This DID NOT affect our enjoyment of the cottage in any way and we comment as a constructive criticism only. Is the main shower room heater working ok?. Nice break ,nice people.

  • "We had an enjoyable stay at Oak Tree and received a warm welcome from the owners, together with a nice welcome pack."

The cottage was very well equipped, nice and warm and very clean. There was a dog bowl, blanket and towel for our dog which was a nice touch. Although very dog friendly, the communal garden was not secure for dogs. We were lucky our dog did not venture too far, but maybe for a young dog, this could present a problem. All in all, we had a nice relaxing break

  • "We visited well out of season, just before Christmas, and the owners had recently taken over the cottages."

We had a great welcome, heating was on, it was -6 degrees at night when we arrived, and so happy to have a Christmas Tree, lights and mince pies waiting for us. We have already recommended to friends and we will return as our Daughter's boyfriend lives in the area. Highly recommended.

  • "WOW what a find!"

We recieved a very warm welcome from the owners. We stayed in Oak cottage and as soon as we walked In we noticed a lovely homemade hamper which was a nice gesture. The cottage was well equipped and very clean with lovely bedding and towels and little spa samples. There is a games room in the barn so great for the kids there is also a small play area . The owners were always on hand if we needed to ask anything and it had a very homely feel. We took our kids and dogs and it was a great base - 8 minutes from brean and the same to western. We will definitely be going back and also recommending to others. The information pack was also a perfect guide for restaurants and supermarkets! Thank you so much!
