The bridleway, a former carriage road, leads directly into the former Quantock estate and gives direct access onto the stunning Quantock hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so no need to set out in your car- ideal for scenic walks and for cycling enthusiasts.Ideal for families, couples or small groups looking to unwind in a country retreat close to the rolling landscapes.

Step inside into a wide and light hallway where the heart of the house is the conservatory style sitting room, exceptionally light with large dual aspect windows and the added bonus of patio doors and a lantern roof light in the ceiling, ensuring light and warmth all day long.

Woodstove and underfloor heating with luxurious limestone flooring with fabulous views over the countryside and garden.

There is a second welcoming large sitting room where a woodburning stove creates a warm and inviting focal point, just the place to relax after a day spent exploring woodland trails, hillside paths and quiet country lanes.

The large farmhouse style kitchen and dining area also has a woodstove, a dining table and sofa,.

The kitchen provides everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, complete with an air fryer, induction and gas hobs and fridge/freezer, alongside plenty of space for gathering over hearty meals beside the crackling woodburning stove.The Aga itself functions only for the induction hob.

A handy utility area has a washing machine and airing cupboard which adds extra practicality, complete with flagstones and underfloor heating - perfect also for leaving your dog after a walk, with glazed door.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles and a single, offering a flexible arrangement for a variety of guests.

These are served by a family bathroom fitted with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, as well as a ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC, underfloor heating.

Downstairs benefits from underfloor heating, alongside the radiator central heating found throughout the property.

WiFi and two (small) TVs provide entertainment for relaxed evenings indoors.

To the rear of the property is a patio and a pretty garden.

A private driveway offers parking for a maximum of two cars which do need to be parked strictly on the right hand side of the driveway please.

The historic village of Nether Stowey sits nearby for additional shops, pubs and places to eat, while the bustling town of Bridgwater offers riverside walks and local attractions.

The county town of Taunton also lies within a short driving distance, providing further shopping, dining and cultural highlights.

Nether Stowey is a village found in the county of Somerset, near the Quantock Hills which is an AONB. The older part of the village is in a conservation area, with a long and interesting history and wide range of architecture, with the oldest buildings being nearly of medieval origin, now carefully restored. The village is home to three pubs and a collection of shops, including a butchers and a small restaurant. The village is also famous for its links with the romantic poets Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth. Nether Stowey is a pretty village perfect for a break away to take in some local history and explore the Somerset headland.
