It is an ideal secluded retreat for families or friends.

Step straight outside Frogwell to access pretty countryside walks.

Upon entering Frogwell you will be greeted by an expansive and airy open plan kitchen/diner with bifold doors leading on to a spacious upper patio.

There are stunning countryside views from the floor to ceiling windows as well as from the patio.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a wellequipped utility room and a separate cloakroom with a basin and WC.

Adjoining the kitchen is a comfortable sitting room offering a warm retreat with a woodburning stove and TV, perfect for those chillier evenings.

Descend the elegant oak staircase with stairgate to the lower floor where you will find three well-presented bedrooms and a bathroom.

The two double bedrooms with king size beds have roomy built in wardrobes and well-designed ensuites with spacious walk-in showers.

The twin bedroom is conveniently adjacent to the bathroom.

Each bedroom has a full-length window with views and a door opening onto the large, secluded, south facing lower patio, just perfect for morning coffees and sunset drinks whilst taking in the beautiful views.

There is an attractive outside stone staircase linking the lower and upper patios.

Yetminster is an historic and picturesque village.

Many of the old houses date back to the 17th century and are built of honey coloured limestone.

Yetminster Fair was established in the 13th century.

It is held on the second Saturday of July and is one of the oldest and largest street fairs in Dorset.

Nestled in the village centre is St Andrew’s Church with an interesting faceless clock that daily chimes the National Anthem.

There is also a traditional village pub, The White Hart serving excellent food.

Near to the convenience store is the pretty Old School Gallery Café open for delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas 7 days a week.

The Café also sells local crafts and gifts.

In the village there is a railway halt where you can board the train along the ‘Heart of Wessex Railway ,’ a charming single track line which takes you through the quiet Dorset countryside to the seaside resort of Weymouth or to the cities of Bath and Bristol.

There is plenty to see and do within a short drive from Frogwell.

The pretty ancient town of Sherborne is a 15 minute drive.

It boasts an impressive Abbey dating from the 8th century and two historic castles.

You can browse in the charming Cheap Street with its many independent shops.

A visit to the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton will delight young and old.

Also nearby is the National Trust Property of Montacute House with its stunning Elizabethan architecture.

South from Frogwell is the county town of Dorchester including the newly extended Dorset County Museum and Art Gallery.

This houses interesting artifact collections.

Within an hour’s drive lie the attractive town of Lyme Regis and the 200-million-year-old cliffs of the Jurassic Coast with its opportunities for your own spot of fossil hunting.

After your day's adventures, retreat back to the serene Frogwell, your home-away-from-home, to rest and rejuvenate for the next day in this enchanting corner of the UK.

YETMINSTER

Beer Hackett 1.7 miles; Closworth 3 miles; Sherborne 6 miles

Yetminister village was built almost entirely of honey coloured limestone. This comes partly from the age of its houses, many of which date back to the 17th century but also from its lack of major through traffic. Yetminster Fair has a claim to be one of the oldest street fairs in Dorset, having started in the 13th century under a charter granted to the Bishop of Salisbury. There was a gap after the 1947 fair until it was re-started in 1975 and now it is firmly established on the second Saturday in July. The fair is not only one of the oldest but one of the biggest fairs in the Wessex area. The village church of St Andrews has a 300 year old faceless clock which chimes the national anthem six times a day. Yetminster is served by the White Hart public House and a village shop. The ancient town of Sherborne lies on the delightful banks of the River Yeo set amidst glorious unspoilt countryside and boasts many picturesque buildings, ancient Inns and quaint shops.
