"We had a lovely stay in One Tree House, very clean and tidy, good facilities and very well equipped kitchen with large range for cooking."
Bedrooms were all clean and spacious, advertised as sleep 6 but with a double and bunk beds in one room can actually sleep 8! All bedrooms having en suite was a big bonus. Great to have a washing machine especially as small children with us.
Thank you for a great holiday!

The location was amazing but how clean the place was questionable as long as you did not close a door, look up or look behind anything you would think it was clean but if you did dead bugs and flies everywhere

"A good week helped by sunshine."
It would have been useful to have a cafetiere or similar as an alternative to the pods.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. The missing cafetière has been replaced. Do give the house manager a call next time if there is any issue with your stay. Hope to see you again soon

"We had a wonderful time away at One Tree House- fantastic surroundings and ease to explore all in the area ."
The few issues in maintenance were sent to the owners directly -but we were in contact with the owners before and during our stay -they left a wonderful bundle of welcome items like milk...hotcross buns etc and the basics like salt and pepper and cleaning stuff was available and able to be accessed in need (even though had brought all we needed this was awesome). Instructions on access and leaving the house were conveyed timeously and it was an awesome property with all one would need for a stay away. We loved our time here awesome memories were made and I would certainly look at coming back. Sykes Cottages have been amazing from start to finish as well.

"Lovely location, perfect property for our holiday with the dogs."
The rear courtyard is secure and the garage/games area was great to leave the dogs in overnight.
The rooms all had ensuite facilities and there were plenty of towels and toilet rolls left for us to use.
The nearest beach beach is a short walk (10 minutes) away, but is steep uphill on the way back so if you might want to drive. The coastal walk is very nearby and well worth the walk.
Thank you for your feedback and so glad you enjoyed your stay.

"We had a great time and enjoyed our stay."
The cottage is in a fantastic location for walking, accessing the 2 nearby beaches and coastal path, and exploring the whole area.
We were very comfortable - very comfy beds and sofas, and good showers. The table tennis table was great too.
A few feedback points on things that we felt could be improved and reflected in the lower scores on a few of our ratings:
- Broken smoke alarm on the upstairs landing. This should be replaced asap.
- The fridge is on its way out. Too small for a self catering property of this size and it kept on freezing things.
- The photos didn’t give an accurate impression of the property from the outside, leaving out that there’s on- going building work and scaffolding up on the attached neighbouring house (the property was stated to be a detached stone cottage at the time of booking and during stay). This didn’t bother us particularly- we’d probably have still booked - but full disclosure upfront on this would’ve been much better.
- The property wasn’t particularly clean in comparison with some other places we’ve stayed. it didn’t bother us as we just cleaned it ourselves anyway.
- Quite a lot of clutter in cupboards / shelves - again not a big problem for us but not something we’ve come across in other places.
Thank you for your feedback and we glad you enjoyed the location and comfort of the house. We weren’t aware that the smoke alarm had been detached and we have since had it reattached and tested.
Thank you for your pointers on the fridge too - we are a small family and we hadn’t appreciated that the fridge might be on the smaller side for a larger family. We are looking into providing more fridge space downstairs.
Re the building work next door - while the house next door is nothing to do with us we understand that work there was delayed by bad weather throughout the winter but the heavy work has now all been completed. We still offer a small discount on booking fees as a gesture of goodwill.
We have noted some of the responses re the cleanliness and the house has been given a thorough deep clean this year and a new cleaning team has been engaged. We hope you will return to One Tree House. Thanks again for your feedback, we appreciate it

"The house is in a great location."
The layout is clever use of space and bathrooms for each bedroom was good.
Cleanliness and maintenance are a major issue. The showers had mould all over the grout and the silicon was disgusting. In the kitchen we found that lots of the crockery was chipped and it's showing signs of heavy use. The cleanliness wasn't just the showers, the bedding was stained, blind mouldy and it was evident it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Outside areas need a good sweep, weeds pulled and furniture cleaned. We enjoyed our stay as its a beautiful area which we've been visiting for many years but our trip was spoilt by the cleaning and maintenance issues. We have never stayed anywhere which doesn't supply the basics such as toilet paper, tea, coffee. The bottle of wine and welsh cakes was appreciated. This is the most difficult review I've ever had to give but it really needs addressing and I note that the recent reviews say the same and the star rating has gone down considerably.
Thank you for your feedback Suzanne. We are glad you enjoyed the location of the house and we’re sorry your stay was marred by cleanliness issues which we have addressed. A new team of cleaners has been engaged and the house has had a thorough deep clean. The crockery has been replaced and bathrooms have had professional steam clean as have the blinds and carpets and our laundry arrangements have also been changed. We do leave tea, coffee, wine and Welsh cakes as a rule but I’m sorry the tea and coffee appears to have been overlooked in your case. I hope you will return to Pembrokeshire soon.

"Lovely property."
Well located for exploring.
Warm and comfortable with lovely beds. Basement area is great for dealing with wet and sandy dogs and, of course, a game of table tennis. We had a great week away
So glad you had a good time and liked the house.

"Nice cottage, comfortable for 6 people."
Very good position for visiting the North Coast of Pembrokenshire.
Cleanliness not great.
Not clear instructions for heating on/off
Thank you for visiting One Tree. We're glad you liked the house and hope you enjoyed your stay.
We're sorry you had an issue with the instructions regarding the heating - the house manager said you had struggled to find the blue buttons to switch it on. My understanding is that she phoned you to talk you through it and offered to drive to you which you declined as you had already had it up and running.
We will endeavour to make the blue buttons clearer for future guests.
We have never had a complaint about instructions or cleanliness before, however I will check the house myself before the next guests.
