Fantastic views. Very cosy. We loved the little extras which the owner left us. Like milk, bread, butter, jam..We didn’t need anything. It was all provided. A bit far from shops and pubs, but that didn’t bother us

  • "I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful location with amazing views in beautiful countryside."

We had a superb holiday. The cottage had every facility you could need and everything is of high quality. We went walking in the Wye and Usk valleys and in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacon. National Park. We visited Usk, the market town of Abergavenny and the bookshops in Hay. In the evening we sat outside around the fire pit watching the sun set over the distant mountains. Nowhere better!!!

  • "We really loved our stay at the Comfy Cow and couldn’t have asked for more."

Anything and everything we needed was available and we were beyond impressed with the standard, the comfort and the added touches. The bath and shower were both heavenly, and we loved waking up and drinking our coffees outside with the beautiful views. We honestly can’t fault anything with this property. A perfect escape to the countryside for a quiet break full of walking, animal spotting, drinking and eating. (Felt especially safe in regards to Covid as we were very secluded and didn’t even see the owners!) Loved the running cow theme and the story behind the property - diolch yn fawr Comfy Cow for providing just what we needed post lockdown!

  • "My husband and I loved our stay at the comfy cow."

My only criticism would be that it is not very well sign posted. Our sat nav sent us a few miles in the wrong direction, however we phoned the contact number and the owners were friendly and happy to give us directions. We booked this to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. Everything about this property was impressive down to the quality of the crockery. No expense has been spared throughout the property and really gave the luxurious feel that we were looking for. The lock down occurred during our stay here but as we were secluded and self sufficient we were not affected, and we were able to see out of break in comfort and peace. Waking up in the morning to the amazing views of the Beacons was a delight and to actually be able to get away and feel like a proper break away from home, was so refreshing and well needed for our sanity lol. I would highly recommend this property to anybody who asked, there was nothing negative about this property and worth every penny. The owners have done a fantastic job with the Comfy Cow and it is the perfect place to get away.

  • "We had such a wonderful time at the Comfy Cow."

We spent a few days 'working from home' (the wifi was better than our own!) for a change of scenery but it was hard not to get distracted by the stunning views of the black mountains and beyond. We enjoyed beautiful walks close by and the highlight was hearing a tawny and a barn owl on a couple of occasions. We'd love to come again.

  • "The Comfy Cow is a delightful little cottage in wonderful, remote surroundings."

The owners have made excellent use of space, and finished the property to a high standard. The views from the sitting area are amazing, and we were fortunate enough to experience some spectacular sunsets. We have stayed in numerous holiday cottages in recent years, and this is certainly one of the best.

  • "The view from the cottage is beautiful, loved watching the cows playing."

The cottage itself is gorgeous, decor is lovely and had everything we needed. Lots of lovely little touches like fresh bread on arrival. We picked a cold wet week, it stayed warm the whole time. I was worried about being cold! And that bath is lovely. All around great place to stay, would love to go back.

  • "The Comfy Cow has been beautifully set up and offers a lovely place to stay."

We realised the living area was going to be small, but the bedroom and bathroom were lovely. The living area has been well thought out and has everything that 2 people could need. We did find the sofa rather uncomfortable - it needed a higher back, but that may just be us! The view is great ...it might be nice to have a parasol outside?

  • "My partner and I stayed for a week and we were so sad to have to leave!"

The cottage was cosy and gorgeous! The view was to die for and made getting up each morning an absolute joy. We were very lucky with the weather so got to sunbathe and sit outside but when the weather broke it was also amazing to sit and watch the lightning given the sheer expanse of sky. Kathy was super helpful when we couldn't get the dishwasher working and there were a few lovely treats to greet us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Very glad we found this place given we booked only a week before going; absolutely stunning and the cattle grazing out front were a pleasure! Would love to go to again in future and would definitely recommend it as a cosy home away from home.
