  • "The property is fantastic and the owner extremely helpful."

It is spacious with three decent-sized bedrooms and plenty o living space with the lounge and dining area. It is newly refurbished which has been done extremely tastefully. However, the highlight has to be the stunning views of Pembroke Castle which can be enjoyed on the patio or the balcony - the best view of any cottage we have stayed in.

  • "Beautiful setting overlooking the castle and 2 minute walk to pubs, restaurants and high st with independent shops."

House well equipped and very clean. Hosts who contacted by text to check everything ok both at start and end of stay. Added bonus of goodie bag of local products on arrival. Fantastic weather so whiled away many hours on the patio although lots to do in local area if weather is not so kind. Our second visit to this property but I'm sure it won't be the last.

The terrace and the balcony provide a lovely view of the castle and mill pond - so relaxing. Comfortable beds. All facilities we required for three couples. Very friendly owners. We can’t recommend this property highly enough.

  • "This is a wonderful, newly renovated town house overlooking Pembroke Castle."

Everything you could possibly need in the house and plenty of space to relax. There are lovely walks around the Castle and the Castle itself is well worth a visit with a guided tour included in the entrance fee. This house is perfectly situated for all the gorgeous beaches and pubs, Our favourites being the Stackpole at Freshwater East and Salties at Tenby. All in all a fabulous property in a beautiful area.

The terrace overlooking Pembroke Castle is simply an amazing place to sit, relax and do some people watching while taking in the view. An information booklet provided everything you needed to know about the workings of the property plus local eateries etc. Very good location for venturing further afield, we managed to get to Tenby, Narberth and St Davids as well as trip to Skanda Vale Ashram.

  • "We were absolutely delighted with Ty Castell from the moment we walked through the front door."

From the spaciousness of the downstairs hallway to the superior level of furnishings throughout the property, everything was just perfect and extremely clean. The location gave views of the castle, the pond, the swans and other birds from all three layers of the town house. The garden was ideal for sitting out and, as we had a week of sunshine and blue skies, we did do just that at some point each day!

We had a fantastic stay at Ty Castell. It was very comfortable with great furnishings throughout. The view of the castle was wonderful and as the weather was great we were able to sit out on the patio and take in this impressive building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - a great find!

The owners have clearly thought through what makes the perfect holiday and that’s what we had. Also, the location of the house meant we had easy access to great walks, cafes, pubs and restaurants. We highly recommend a stay in this holiday house.

  • "We recently stayed here during early February 22 and we would strongly recommend anyone looking to visit Pembroke and/or surrounding areas to stay here."

Location: shops, food and pubs within a five minute walk including a nice walk around the pond. Plus an ideal location to get to the coastal paths in less than 30 minutes. Property: Clean, comfy and spacious - we especially liked the fact that the kitchen/dining area was on the ground floor away from the living room (with the TV) Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great in February, but the back garden looks great for summer/dry nights overlooking the castle/pond. Things to do(what we did during our stay, I’m sure there are a lot more we’ve missed!) : <10 minutes walk - walks around the pond, Pembroke castle, pubs, shops, takeaways. <40 minutes drive - coastal walks, fresh water east and west, st govens chapel, Tenby Overall, a great property with no issues and ideal for couples and families looking to relax, visit new places or get their steps in on the many surrounding walks.

  • "We have stayed in several Sykes cottages, both booked ourselves and with friends who have booked them, and this is one of the best."

We shared with two other couples: the bedrooms are all a good size and there are enough bath/toilet facilities (not true of all holiday cottages!). Ty Castell is very comfortable, the location is stunning, Pembroke is a lovely town and the Pembrokeshire coast (even in late November) is as wonderful as everybody says it is. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pembroke and Ty Castell to anybody. BTW If (like us) you came in three cars, there is plenty of good council parking just over the bridge in Pembroke (ten minutes' walk max), and out of season (November to March) the Commons car park is free. Neither that one nor the Parade car park is expensive even in season.

  • "This is a really comfortable house with stunning views of Pembroke Castle."

The coast path is only a few metres from the front door and yet lots of shops, restaurants, etc are only a few minutes walk away too. On the day we were travelling to the property the owners discovered two issues which they had not been forewarned of but they kept us updated and by the time we arrived one issue had been fully resolved and, although they had been unable to replace the broken fridge that day, they had provided a temporary countertop fridge (and the offer of more fridge space round the corner which we didn't need) and couldn't have been more helpful with doing whatever they could to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

Thank you very much for this feedback and pleased you enjoyed your stay. We greatly appreciated your understanding when we discovered the fridge was broken on a changeover day, we’ve now thankfully managed to find and install a new replacement integrated fridge. Property Owner

Perfectly positioned to enjoy uninterrupted views of the stunning architecture of the 11th century Pembroke Castle, this remarkable holiday home offers an idyllic base for both family and friends alike looking to discover the delights of the coast and country of Pembrokeshire.

Two sought-after off-road parking spaces greet you upon arrival, leading you into the homely dwelling and into a handy hallway space, where you can kick off your shoes and freshen up in the cloakroom before heading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, fit with all the modern amenities necessary to assist the chef in preparing a heart-warming meal for the group to enjoy gathered around the grand dining table.

Make the most of the warmer weather and take your dining experience outdoors with a seat in the terrace garden, where you can soak in captivating views across the scenic water to the medieval Pembroke Castle, or toast a glass of fizz to a wonderful holiday under the canopy of the stars in the late evening.

Climb the stairs to the first-floor where you'll find the charming sitting room, fit with a snug seating area gathered in front of the television, inviting you to nestle in for a family movie, or escape the excitement with an intimate seat on the balcony, overlooking the marvellous castle.

When sleep calls, you're spoilt for choice with three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a double room, benefiting from it's own en-suite shower room located on the first-floor along with a king-size room, framing views of the Castle Millpond and a twin room nestled on the second-floor.

Completing the property is a contemporary family bathroom, fit with an elegant bath with overhead shower, giving guests the choice between indulging in a leisurely soak, or a quick morning rinse.

Discover the rich history of the town with a stroll along its medieval walls, visiting Pembroke Castle to enjoy amazing far-reaching views across the rooftops and marvel at the 12th century keep which is an architectural novelty due to the huge cylindrical tower.

Enjoy a picnic within Lower Common Park, or hire a boat out on the Mill Pond, perfect on a sunny afternoon.

The property is just off the coastal path and has good routes for walking, cycling and jogging.

Spend a fun-filled day at the beach with a visit to the nearby Barafundle Bay, maintained by the National Trust, or head to Fresh Water East, both beautifully-decorated with white sand, or slightly further afield, enjoy the scenic stretches of golden beach in Tenby, where Goskar rock juts out of the sand.

There's plenty to see on land too, with the ruins of Tenby Castle nestled on the headland, boasting scenic views across the water, and Tenby Museum and Art Gallery showcasing the towns maritime history.

Avid adventurers will be delighted with a visit to Saundersfoot, where you can partake in a quirky Sea Safari, heading out onto the water aboard a charter vessel in the hopes of catching sight of seals, dolphins, minke whales and basking sharks.

With all of this and more, Ty Castell is perfectly positioned to explore the offerings of West Wales and Pembrokeshire.
