  • "The house was great, in a convenient location for our reasons to be in Hereford."

The house was well stocked and had most of what we needed. It might have been nice to have had a TV in the kitchen/fam room as that was where we spent most of our time and maybe in the master bedroom also. The house was extremely hot and there were strict instructions not to touch thermostats - it was hard because even with all the windows open upstairs at night it was extremely hot which made sleeping hard. Otherwise I suggest leaving instructions in the house folder to help determine where some things are. It took us 2 days to find silverware as it was in a hidden inner drawer and also the trash. We had no idea it was in the garage until the last day . We referred to the house book but there was no detail on that at all. Otherwise very little issues nd it turned out to be a great stay for us to come and go. We would definitely rent it again.

Hi Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate you highlighting these issues—had you reached out earlier, I would have been happy to resolve them, as they are easily addressed. I look forward to hosting you again. Best wishes :) Property Owner

HEREFORD

Leominster 14 miles.

The cathedral city of Hereford dates back to Saxon times, and with its medieval bridge over the winding River Wye it is the very image of picturesque England. With a mix of buildings from almost every British era, eclectic Hereford is a popular base for those seeking to explore the locale – being ideally placed for accessing the Black and White villages of the region, not to mention the delights of neighbouring Shropshire, Worcestershire and The Cotswolds. Famous as a cider producing town, Hereford is also the home of the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map in existence, which resides in the cathedral alongside the famous Chained Library – a collection of over 1500 rare books from as early as the 8th century. Nearby is the half timbered town of Leominster, filled with medieval buildings, often overhanging the street, and also accessible is the natural splendour of Symonds Yat, a rocky outcrop on a 5 mile bend of the River Wye, with spectacular views and the opportunity to spot protected peregrine falcons flying from their nests.
