Had we had better weather we would have enjoyed sitting in the garden enjoying it, but the seating inside gave the same panorama. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be very likely to go again.

  • "Following an issue with our original booking where we were double booked we were offered Pheasant Two, a bit further away from home but it turned out to be far better than we expected."

From being met by Carmen the owner as we arrived, finding a lovley warm inviting little cottage with a well equipt kitchen and fresh tea and coffee, nice comfy lounge with dining table, Freeview TV, comfy sofa and chairs to the nice powerful shower, comfy bed (we only used one...of the two available) and good wi-fi, it was everything you'd expect and wast most welcome for our first break away in nearly a year. Lovley location and easy to get places if you have a car. Take a wander around the houses large farm which gives some lovley views over the area. We did trips to Abergeveny, Monmouth, Usk, Raglan, Chepstow where theres some lovley walks (The Eagles Nest nr Chepstow recommended but theres a lot of steps .. hint go left from the lower car park and whilst its a steep climb up, you then come down the steps..all 380+ of them rather than have to climb up them!). Only other thing to advise is that there are still a lot of restrictions in place so we found a lot of places closed and places to visit or restuarants/pubs a bit difficult to get into as you needed to pre-book and most were full......But all in all a lovley place and I'd recommend to anyone for a nice gentle break....

The cottage was immaculately clean, lovely fresh bedding and towels were provided and it is tastefully and attractively furnished. We felt like we could immediately unpack and relax without any worries or concerns. The cottage is very well equipped, we stayed for 4 nights and we didn’t feel that we lacked anything. The owners are very hospitable and helpful, they were available for a friendly chat and and provided useful information about the area and local facilities. As regards the surrounding area and location...absolutely stunning! The well maintained and beautiful garden just outside our front door was a real highlight! As a family who love to be outside enjoying nature and creation, having that little paradise on our doorstep really added that special something to our holiday. We would have no qualms about returning and we can not fault anything, a big thank you to the owners for doing such a wonderful job!

Recently refurbished, it is fresh, clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. Set on a farm just off the road, it is easy to access and has its own allocated parking space. The owners are welcoming, friendly and offer helpful advice about the local area. The beds are comfortable with good quality bedding and linen. The whole place is immaculately clean, well-organized and equipped with everything thing you need plus a few thoughtful extras. The location is excellent for visiting Monmouth, Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle. There is a Nisa (Coop) store close by in Raglan, a Coop in Usk and a larger Morrisons in Abergavenny. We stayed here a week and hope to come back again as its convenient for a quick get away.

The location is good for Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley - we enjoyed canoeing, castles and the market towns. Hosts Carmen and husband were the most friendly couple who made us feel extremely welcome. A particular highlight was when the hosts brought their tractor down to the cottage for our 4 year old son to sit in! We will be back. The pin on the location map is in the wrong place - we turned into the wrong farm. This cottage is right next to the turn for Llandenny.
