  • "Very clean and tidy property with a ideal garden for our dog."

Good size rooms with belting views from the lounge and dining area across to Dinas Cross Island. Quiet location in between 2 quiant beaches both dog friendly about a 10 minute walk. Property had all the amenities you could need with outside furniture to relax on. There is ongoing planning permission to demolish the building in the future months so we're glad we got to experience this as it is.

  • "We had a great week at Tawelwch."

The positives were: comfy bed, peaceful, great views, great facilities, good tv, good Wi-Fi, enclosed garden so our dog could roam around safely, great walks from the door, great info pack on things to do in the area. As for the negatives, absolutely none at all! This holiday was perfection for us and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. We slept so well and feel fully recharged. We wish we had booked a second week!!!! Thank you so much!

I can't wait to do it all again!!!

  • "We really enjoyed our holiday."

Lovely bungalow with a restful view and could see the sea from the bottom of garden. All equipment necessary supplied and it was clean and comfortable - wonderful single bed mattress! Two nice beaches within 15 minutes walking distance, we preferred Pwllgwaelod especially with the Old Sailor to provide a nice meal. Can recommend the dog-friendly Golden Lion in nearby Newport for food.

  • "Very well appointed and comfortable cottage."

Lovely spacious lounge with perfect view. Bedrooms good. Great to have separate toilet in addition to bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. I think a small table and chair in the kitchen would have been helpful, because I struggle to walk whilst holding food/drink. Others didn't agree! We appreciated the safe garden for the dogs, and really enjoyed the garden furniture in the glorious weather we were able to enjoy.

  • "Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in."

Great space, comfortable, great shower, garden large enough for our 2 large dogs to play and us to sit out and enjoy the sun! Well kitted out with utensils etc. we loved walking down to the local beaches as well as going further afield to Newport sands and Poppit Sands. Although out of season breaks mean some cafes were not open enough we’re that we were happy. Some really dog friendly places in Newport. Tawellwch and the area are highly recommended.

Loved the walk in shower/ wet room as my wife has walking difficulties and struggles in a bath. Would be happy to recommend Tawelwch to anyone looking for a comfortable roomy cottage in a quiet location but within easy reach of towns and harbours.

  • "Tawelwch was the best appointed holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in."

Literally everything had been thought of and the owners had prepared a really thorough dossier of information. Very welcoming bungalow, excellent for disabled guests. The location was brilliant too with access to walks in all directions from the doorstep, particularly useful for getting down to the stunning Cwm y Eglwys. Highly recommended! Also, the quality of the Sykes site and booking systems appears second to none.

  • "This is a lovely bungalow, as the name suggests, peaceful and quiet, although I was surprised that it was next to other bungalows as the pictures gave the impression of complete isolation."

Not that it mattered. It is a good base to visit many places in Pembrokeshire. We had our disabled mother with us, and the accommodation was perfect for her too.

  • "Great position for short walk to the beaches on either side and longer walk over Dinas head."

Lovely view of Dinas head and sunset in left corner of garden. Lovely mix of sea and countryside. Enough to do if you didn't want to get in the car, but not far from Newport beach and town. It opened up an area we haven't explored before. We have a dog but appreciate not being able to tell that dogs, or people, had been in before us. So fresh. Great first night sleep.
