"We had a lovely four night stay, cottage was clean and tidy and well equipped."
Maya the dog also loved staying there. Little courtyard was lovely, sat out in it most evenings as the sun was shining in it. Plant pots made it feel homely. My wife was envious of the gladioli as she can’t get them to grow as good. Would highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Its much appreciated. Very much hope you'll be back. Property Owner

"Love Cottage is small, modern, cute and so cosy ."
It was perfect for the 2 of us and a nice place to come back to, it has 2 small outside spaces which would be ideal for dogs. The owners have put some lovely plants and baskets there. We were able to sit out a few times when the weather allowed and even though the road runs in front of the site you cant see it and it didn't bother us at all, it feels like you're deep in the countryside as there's trees everywhere and a big green grass area in front of the row of properties.
we were left some wine and chocolates which were most appreciated.
lovely and clean with bath sheets {a big plus for me} and nice bed linen. The bed is a standard double even though we prefer a King but it was very comfortable.
We visited Barafundle Bay, Carew Castle, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Freshwater East, all stunning. We ate out a few times and also used the Severn Spice Indian for a delivery which was delicious.
The cottage was very well equipped, and some extra luxuries like a Nespresso coffee machine with pods, a Smart TV, a large double shower and also plenty of tea, coffee and Hot Coffee and you don't need to take or buy tea cloths, fairy liquid etc etc as its all there.
We used the Aldi and Tesco in Pembroke Dock for our supplies, an easy ten minute drive away.
A great base for exploring Pembrokeshire, We will definately come back.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm so glad you loved the Cottage and especially Pembrokeshire. Please do come back, I'd love to have you. Property Owner

"The property was very unclean."
I have addressed it to yourself. Behind toilet seat dirty, cooker disgusting and did not want to touch it. Cobwebs everywhere, sofa bed not usable as very uncomfortable. Overall shocking to be honest. Sykes were kind enough to move me but sadly I brought my Niece with me to give my sister a break. My niece has autism and does not do change very well so did not want any further disruption.
Dear Guest
Thank you for your review.
I apologise firstly for the few weeds and twigs that were in the rear outside space and also for the baskets, they didnt survive the heatwave 6 weeks ago unfortunately and the maintenance man was due to come and change them.
However, I do not accept your criticism of cleanliness of the property or the discomfort of the sofa bed.
The cottage is thoroughly cleaned inbetween each booking, photographs are taken and kept and have been sent to Sykescottages.co.uk as proof of exactly how the cottage looked 2 hours before your check in time. I wonder why you made your complaint on the fourth day of your stay.
The sofa-bed is relatively new and was an upgrade for which I paid extra, providing more comfort and durability.
I hope you enjoyed your welcome gifts and beautiful Pembrokeshire. Property Owner

"The way Love Cottage was portrayed was very misleading being shown as an attached Cottage to a farm house with a large lawned area in front."
Also there was another small cottage squeezed in between the two which did not give much privacy around the back although the garden area was not particularly inviting with the fence having green mould and looking damp.
Add to this the constant noise of traffic from the A477 and being literally just over the hedge we were very disappointed .
Thank you for your feedback though a very different review to that in my visitors book.
The photo of the cottage has not been photoshopped in any way and is indeed attatched to The Old Farmhouse with a large green area in front.
Poppy Cottage is another Holiday apartment behind the cottage which is part of the complex of 9.
The fence turns green every year from leaf mold from all the trees surrounding the cottage but is painted annually.
The A477 is the road to Pembroke Dock and is busy at certain times of the day however it is shielded by the barrier of 80ft trees between the road and the complex.

"Cottage was lovely."
Very handy for places of interest. Nr Beaches, catles, marinas etc. Only disappointment was no readily available cushions for sitting outside the front, and private back garden needed some TLC ( weedy path, mouldy green fencing in need of a paint) Both didnt live up to our expectation from the photos on the website .Otherwise a nice place to stay and an excellent location. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks.
Thank you for your response and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.
You are welcome to take cushions from the cottage to use on the outside seat's. When we had permenant cushions on our outside furniture we had nothing but complaints about them being wet so its a difficult one!
At the start of each season the fence is painted but the leaf mold from the trees turns everything green fairly quickly unfortunately.
The path comes under the responsibility of The Management company so that is out of my control.
I'm glad you loved the cottage itself and the location.
Thank you. Property Owner

"Really enjoyed our wonderful stay at Love Cottage complemented and blessed with lovely weather !"
The property was most comfortable and thoughtfully furnished throughout and met all of our needs as holidaymakers. We discovered it was advertised for sale in an Estate Agent window in Tenby during our stay and felt it would not be too long before it was sold.
I would certainly recommend staying at Love Cottage to anybody looking at taking a holiday in Pembrokeshire; you won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I really appreciate it. It means a lot.

Pitty about the cctv but that's nothing to do with the cottage that's to do with the maintenance part. Not to far from tenby at all which was fantastic because we love tenby beaches not to far from other places either.

"Love cottage was in a beautiful location, perfect for visiting Tenby and the surrounding area."
Sian was very helpful, both in responding to a couple of issues with the cottage and in providing info on the local area. The cottage was well equipped and welcome gifts were a lovely touch. Just a couple of helpful suggestions; the cottage is only really big enough for two (there is a sofa bed, hence it allows three but even taking our 9 month old baby was a squeeze!) It would really benefit from a washing machine and a dining table and chairs if like us you make use of the self catering for meals etc. Neither were listed so we knew they weren't available, but we missed them! Otherwise a gorgeous place, on a lovely site.
Thank you for tsking the time to write your review.
However, as you were aware that there was no washing machine and dining table and chairs. I'm unsure why you have marked Facilities at only 50%? There are folding tables supplied instead and very limited space to provide table and chairs.
I understand the comfort may have been a lesser score as you say you found there wasn't enough space with your babies belongings aswell. I can imagine that being tight with a Travel cot, High chair etc etc taking up extra space.
Also. I would have appreciated knowing if there with a problem with the cleaning as its thoroughly cleaned in-between each changeover ( I noticed you gave cleanliness a lower score) and My cleaner would have been more than happy to come out and rectify any issue for you.
I am of course thrilled with the very kind comments left in my Visitors Book and am so pleased you "can't wait to return." Thank you.
Kind Regards,

"We had a wonderful week at Love Cottage."
There was everything you needed. The cottage is cosy and compact. The welcome gifts were very nice.
The outside space was very nice and great for our cockapoo Teddy. There is lots of information on what's on and leaflets for local takeaways. Love cottage is central to both Tenby and Saundersfoot. We would definitely book again. The only negative was that there was a noticeable doggy smell form the previous people, however there was plenty of cleaning products to use.
Thank you Tina for your kind review.
I endeavour to do all i can to make the cottage as welcoming and comfortable as possible and I'm so glad you'll be back.
The cottage is thoroughly cleaned on each changeover however the doggy smell may have lingered from the rug which has now been removed. Property Owner

"Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable."
Also leave you with cleaning products and hoover, so can keep on top of mess during the week. Perfect when you have two dogs.
Great location, only a few miles from multiple places. Would be great if the fridge could be fixed, as after a few days the noise is very annoying.

"I would describe Love Cottage as being compact, but so very warm and welcoming, including the lovely and unexpected welcome pack (thank you, Sian)."
The seaside theme emanates from everything including the trinkets and artwork, as well as the special Welsh welcome with the words of Calon Lan, which we had as a hymn at my niece's wedding. A compact cottage, but beautifully equipped, cleaned and decorated to make it feel like a real home from home. We would definitely come back. Nice safe space for two dogs as well. Thank you, Sian, and thank you, Hayley, for the bright cleanliness which we found when we arrived.

"We arrived at Love Cottage finding beautiful welcome gifts including flowers, cakes, milk, orange juice and a very sweet card."
We immediately felt very welcome and at home. The cottage was as the pictures... pretty, well equipped, very clean and super cosy. The cottage was also well stocked with basic essentials also... tea towels, cooking utensils, cleaning products and so on. It is compact with everything you need. (No washing machine, however, with many local launderettes, this was not a problem. I chose to worry about it when I arrived home) The modern shower was lovely, all feeling pretty new. The sofas were also comfy... and the cottage was a joy to return to after long days out and especially on the evening when it rained. My husband, my son and myself felt the size was perfect. We used the sofa bed for our son, which I was not looking forward too however with it being of good quality, it was a breeze to pull out at night and put away the next morning, using the double bed room for the additional bedding. We all felt we slept later than usual due to being so relaxed and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the small front and back enclosed area as well as the local walk through the country lane. ( right of the entrance) The location could not be better if you prefer, like us, to be out of the way of crowded holiday type places... however being amazingly close to everywhere this area has to offer. My son especially loved having Carew Karting literally 5 minutes away, as well as Heatherton activities. We especially loved being close to Saundersfoot and Wisemans Bridge. Having spent six nights at Love Cottage we were very sad to leave. We have very much enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. A pretty, cosy, clean cabin type interior which is perfect for couples or small families such as ours. Thank you Sian for making us feel so welcome and your kind gifts. Thank you also to Sykes Cottages who made our booking experience straightforward as well as keeping us well informed.. A wonderful week away at Love Cottage. We do hope to return soon. "1.washing machine out of order
2."
no toilet brush for cleaning the loo
3. no outside seating wet and covering in leaves
4. no storage space for your clothing.
5. under the bed was full of everyone things.
6. empty vodka bottle in the wardrobe.
7. we were asked to water the plants inside the greeting card.
Thank you for your feedback! Sorry but there is no washing machine advertised at Love Cottage. The toilet brush has been removed due to Covid hygiene measures, however there is an abundance of cleaning products available. There are two outside seating areas, both with furniture, they do get wet with rain and there is a woodland next to the cottage. There is a double wardrobe in the bedroom for clothes storage, and under the bed is used for storage for clean linens etc. We have not found any Vodka bottle in the wardrobe during the changeover previous to your stay. Most guests are more than happy to water the pots during their stay if no rain, but thank you anyway for leaving a feedback and hopefully see you again soon. Property Owner
