  • "Exceptional apartment, rates at the top of all the places we've stayed."

Extremely well equipped kitchen with extras you don't normally get e.g. kitchen scales. Lovely location with a friendly village store just a couple of doors away. The owners were also helpful and very quick to respond to a couple of queries. We highly recommend this place.....

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Kittiwake."

It was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It was well located for the Pembrokeshire Coast path where we spent much of our time and good pubs within walking distance where we spent the rest!! We particularly enjoyed crab from the crab shack as well as exploring the local area. Thanks for a lovely stay.

It was helpful that the flat is so close to a convenience store, which we used a lot. It would have been nice to have had use of a dishwasher.

  • "Great apartment, extremely clean and comfortable."

Very comfortable bed with lovely cotton bedding. Love the nautical theme throughout especially the toilet seat !! The apartment has great sea views and after a walk through the football field opposite, find yourselves on the coastal path. Amazing walk to St Davids, lovely place to explore. Lower Solva and harbour is a very quaint place,5 minute walk away with three pubs to choose from. The Cambrian being our favourite, make sure you book. Also recommend The Victoria Inn Brewhouse at Roch, good homebrewed beer, also book first. The woollen mill (not a pub) is a nice place to visit to see the weavers at work and spend money on goodies in the shop. Loved the post office/shop/crab shed, next door to apartment that sold everything but the kitchen sink, bought lots of local asparagus and delicious new potatoes, also sells great fresh bread. We would not hesitate to come back here as beautiful scenery and brilliant weather and very comfortable place to stay. Sylvia and Jim were great hosts and easy to contact if you have any queries.

  • "The apartment was lovely."

It was clean, well appointed and very homely. We had a great holiday. The location close to Solva harbour is perfect and Solva is very well placed for the coast path in St Brides bay. We enjoyed the pubs and restaurants locally and enjoyed the evening atmosphere by the harbour. All in all Kittiwake is great base for a superb outdoor holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Pembrokeshire.

  • "Beautiful accommodation, very well presented and super clean."

I have been holidaying in St.Davids for many years and only really been to Solva for launching kayaks but there is so much to do. At low tide we walked to the beach the other side of harbour and snorkelled in the bay, you may have to walk over the head land if the tide comes in too much but it’s not a long or hard walk. At high tide we kayaked in the harbour and done some crabbing. There is also a park a short walk from the accommodation if you have children with you.

  • "Everything was excellent about this property."

It was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay, and we would not hesitate to recommend Kittiwake. However, I do have a couple of comments. First, the description mentions a sea view. This is true, but it's a very distant and restricted sea view, so I would suggest you don't take it into account when deciding whether or not to book the property. My second comment is that the property sleeps four, but I think with four adults it would be a little cramped. For my wife and me, it was perfect, and I think it would be absolutely fine for two adults and two children. Four adults would however, have to be sure that they didn't mind sharing all the facilities - bathroom, toilet, kitchen and living/dining room. Please note that these are comments not criticisms! Kittiwake is a great property in a superb area. If you go there I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

This pretty little village may be small but offers friendly pubs serving good food, a fish and chip shop, gift shops, art galleries and a nearby superb woollen mill shop where special gifts can be bought to remember your stay in Wales. Lazy days sitting and watching the ebb and flow of the tide and the boats bobbing in and out of the harbour are a sheer delight. Visit the nearby woollen mill itself to sit by the waterwheel, go into the weaving shed or enjoy a break in the cafe. Just a few miles from Solva you can visit St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, with its magnificent St Davids Cathedral and wander the small streets to again find unique gifts, eat a hearty meal or an afternoon tea, or just sit in the peaceful grounds of the cathedral.
