  • "Just returned after the most perfect Christmas stay with family."

The cottage was immaculately clean and every last thing you can think of was provided. A perfect home from home in a beautiful setting. Muriel was so accommodating and was always on hand for anything you needed. Beds were very comfortable the shower was heaven!! And the hot tub was a beautiful added extra in the peaceful scenic countryside. Absolutely loved our stay and our children were sad to have to leave! Will definitely be returning :o)

  • "Peaceful get away."

You really are in the countryside, feels like middle of nowhere but a 15 min drive down the lanes takes you to a pub. Cottage is on a small farm, no road noise or light pollution. You share a courtyard with a few other rentals but we didn't see anyone else and the whole location is very quiet and relaxing. Lucky enough to have clear night for star gazing from the hot tub. Comfortable cottage and well equipped. Friendly owner who texted us to make sure we were all OK! One downside is the hot tub is on view of farm buildings, which were in use in the day. Would benefit from a screen or little fence. We had a relaxing and peaceful stay. Would recommend and would return.

  • "From start to finish, a really warm welcome."

The cottage was cozy, spotlessly clean and all the amenities you could want. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything thought of. The showers were lovely and good pressure etc. the hot tub was well maintained and in an idyllic location. Muriel was a warm and welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. A proper home from home, even the recommendation of the family pub down the road for Sunday lunch! This was the icing the cake for us for our return journey home. We will be booking again.❤️

Small drive into Carmarthen which has everything for the family. Beautiful places to visit in surrounding area. Taf Cottage had everything we needed for us, our small child and dogs. The owners were very accommodating, friendly and helpful, Nothing was to much to ask. Would defiantly recommend to anyone who would like to visit wales.

  • "We booked Taf cottage for a girly 40th birthday get together, we had easy check in and was made to feel very welcome by Muriel."

The cottage is so peaceful, its spacious and very clean with everything you need with the added bonus of a private hot tub. There isn't a pub or restaurant within walking distance but we knew this before we booked so didnt bother us to drive ( it's only 5-10 mins) and also only a short drive into Camarthen town. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return in the future

Greeted us when we arrived, a bottle of wine was left for the adults, and juice and sweets left for the kids. Was such a kind gesture ! She checked on us daily to make sure everything was ok. The property was stunning! We would love to come back at some point, the views were amazing. The beds were also comfy. If you are thinking of booking this place, absolutely do it. We came all the way from Devon & would happily return. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

A wonderful location blended in with the Welsh nature, a charming cottage with comfortable furnishings giving the possibility of complete relaxation at a high level. We should also mention the charming owners of the property who are graceful and discreet with all help and advice. Of course, we highly recommend this place.

We found the cottage easily following the directions supplied with the information. We were met by Muriel, who was a wonderful helpful hostess, supplying us with a vast knowledge of the local area. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and equipped with all essentials for our stay. Our son is in a wheelchair and we found the single level living accessible. The bonus of having a hot tub was a real treat. We would highly recommend this location for a holiday, and aim to return.

We received a very warm welcome from our hosts and found the accommodation suited us perfectly, staying in a converted farm building that was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We were able to sit outside in the mornings looking out over the countryside, go for walks to see the forest and the river nearby, and in the evenings, stargazing from the warmth of the hot tubs was a real highlight we all enjoyed. I would recommend staying at this location and we will be rebooking to visit at another date, hopefully soon.

  • "Taf Cottage is an ideal spot to explore this part of Wales."

It is set in a very rural location, down quiet country lanes, but is only a couple of minutes drive from the A40. There is a great deal to see and do in the area and we enjoyed some gloriously sunny days too. The cottage itself is warm and cosy. The heating is easy to control and it has a log-burner as well. It is well equipped and very clean. We found the beds and sofas really comfortable and the private hot tub is lovely. Daisy loved watching the sheep from the safety of the enclosed garden. The owners were on hand to give us a very warm welcome and couldn't have been more friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We would happily return here again.

  • "A really damp smell in the bathroom ,due to ill fitting(leaking) shower screen."

Somuch so that all of our belongings still have a musty smell to them. Also there were so many mosquitoes indoors ( which might have been caused by the damp) we got bit so many times that by the Tuesday night we’d made our minds up that we would go home. The bad weather coming in was also contributory but not the prime reason as we understand the weather cannot be guaranteed! The towels were starting to smell (despite having taken our own for the hot tub) as we were not given any hand towels. The lane approaching the cottage was very narrow and we were told that not much traffic used it but on lots of occasions we were forced to reverse(vehicles would continue to push at us, forcing us back)We should have been warned of this. In all, we were very disappointed. We paid £463.00 for Friday night -Wednesday morning so not a very good deal!

It was most disappointing and indeed disheartening to read your negative review regarding your stay at Taf cottage, which incidentally is completely at odds with other guests reviews. We do try and achieve the highest standards and best attention to our guests needs and it is a shame that you did not mention the shower screen issue during your stay as we could have pointed out that it must be closed with the flexible seal facing inwards to prevent seepage onto the bathroom floor. Living in the heart of the quiet countryside it is inevitable that one will encounter local wildlife around the cottages including badgers, foxes, bats, owls, field mice and a few midges at certain times of the year but neither we nor other guests have found them to be an issue. Unfortunately we can not control their movements any more than the prevailing weather nor those odd inconsiderate drivers you apparently encountered on your travels along the country lanes. It is unfortunate that all those things occurred to you during your short stay but honestly it is not a true reflection of the reality of country living particularly during the periods of glorious weather we have had this year. If you had not cut short your stay as you had already planned to do since arriving perhaps those couple of extra fine days following your departure may have changed your view. Property Owner

This cottage was very clean, cosey and had all the utensils and facilities we needed. It has a fully functioning jacuzzi and a lovely fireplace. The cottage is located in the heart of the countryside so you get a feeling of relaxation and seclusion however there is a large supermarket nearby where we could purchase groceries. We were able to drive to Brecon Beacons national park and Pembrokeshire Coast (about an hour away each). The owner of the cottage was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. We cannot wait to be back here again in future.

Was so nice to get away. The pubs were open to eat outside and felt safe and comfortable. Lots of places to explore nearby including Llandeilo and the national trust.
