This lodge is everything anyone could ask for in a perfect stay in Scotland. Comfort, facilities, location , views, and friendly welcoming owners. Thankyou .

  • "There was no freezing compartment in the fridge, so we were glad we hadn't taken a lot of frozen food."

And we had to learn how to use the air fryer and induction hob. The setting was wonderful, with great views of the Moray Firth. It was warm and comfortable. Friendly owners!

  • "The Welcome book is excellent and it is a great advantage that you can contact the owners, who live next door, if you have any problems."

Blinds in the lounge/kitchen would add to the comfort. The owners plan to have a sign at the entrance to the property. Lowering the height of the TV could be considered and a teapot would be handy. A more substantial curtain at the front door might be of benefit. Mr and Mrs J McBeath

  • "The property was excellent."

Lovely and clean and well presented. As others have said I would agree that some sort of blind is needed on the main entrance door as it is right opposite the bathroom. I would suggest that the radiator in the bedroom be able to be turned off as I did not like it coming on in the morning whilst I am asleep.

  • "The lodge was lovely in a stunning area."

With some beautiful locations nearby. The owners left us a nice welcome pack. As previous comments a door blind is greatly needed as this is open view to coming out of bedroom and wet room and also the lodge is now overlooked by a new build with workers onsite. We complained to the owner about privacy and noise issues and was told that Sykes knew of the change in circumstances but fail to provide pictures on their online website of the new build.. caravan ..portaloo and 2 shipping containers in full view from lodge windows. We couldn’t enjoy the decking area because of these issues. Overall a beautiful place but very disappointing.

We are sorry this was your experience, we have always kept Sykes fully informed of the situation here. It's a valid comment about a blind, which we will look into. We have put screens up and planting that will give privacy in time, it is a newly built holiday let and the site is developing. The noise at the time, was neighbours two doors away strimming there garden. Property Owner

  • "The property is finished to a very high standard."

Two things we think could make your stay even better would be, a freezer compartment for cool blocks and a blind on the front door. Thanks again for a fantastic stay, we will definitely come back again. Dave and Deb.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the feedback and clear suggestions. Sue and Rob Property Owner
