  • "Very good property, exactly as described."

Fantastic BBQ which wasn’t mentioned. Age of property is well described and takes a bit of getting used to for the bedrooms. But a lovely place

  • "We had a wonderful stay at South Grange for Mother in laws 70th birthday."

There were 12 of us - 8 adults and 4 children and the house was brilliant for our need! The bathroom/bedroom arrangements are a little awkward with 6 adults sharing 1 bathroom but we made it work! It would be good if there was a lock on both doors of the Jack and Jill bathroom as it was nerve racking with the kids running round!! It would also be great if the top floor had 1 twin room and 1 double to really benefit from the en suite then the 2nd twin downstairs. BUT like I say it was a wonderful break and it worked just fine. The pool table was a massive hit as was the garden, hot tub and sauna. The vast kitchen was lovely to eat in and the setting was stunning. The eggs, bread, wine and milk were a really lovely touch. Only a couple of negatives if I may - the double bedroom opposite the Jack and Jill bathroom kept getting dead bees in it from somewhere - couldn’t figure out where so we scooped and removed! The kitchen would benefit from more baking trays, sharp knives and tongs! And as I said above a lock on both doors in the Jack and Jill bathroom. We are already looking at booking for a week next year as 2 days was not enough to enjoy all it had to offer! Also we ate at The Poachers Pocket about 10 mins drive away and it was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you :-)

Hi Sarah, thanks for your feed back. Will defiantly get some locks on the doors, this much have been missed on the refurbishment. More baking trays, knives and tongs have been added to the kitchen, Hope to have you back in the future Property Owner

  • "What an amazing property!"

We only stayed for a weekend and left wishing it was longer. The place was lovely and clean and had enough cooking equipment, crockery, utensils etc for all eleven of us with plenty of spares. Lovely large table for all to sit around. Outside area is lovely with added bonus of a hot tub. The pool table enabled a tournament for a very competitive family. Smallest gripe, the beds are hard which for me personally was not ideal but not a problem for the rest of the tribe. The place had ample parking. We had three cars and there is space for more. All in all it was the perfect place for a family birthday celebration. Highly recommend.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Glad you had a pleasant stay. Hope to see you again. Kind Regards Property Owner

  • "The house suited our eleven-strong family beautifully."

Lots of space to lose oneself, warm (both physically an decoratively, well-equipped, great pool table (monopolised by the youngsters), hot tub in the rain and room for a fleet of cars. A lovely house in every respect. Pity about the weather, which was, to put it mildly, wet. Very wet! ps Two small gripes - no compost bin/facility. A pair of kitchen scissors would be nice.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. Sorry about the weather - better luck next time! Your recommendations are noted. Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay."

The beds and bedding were very comfortable, the house is well equipped (and even had very sharp knives which we've not often had when staying in holiday homes!) And the grounds and hot tub were great. We were a group of 7 adults and 4 children and the house worked really well for us, with a bit of room to spare. Definitely recommend staying.

Thank you very much for your kind comments and glad you have a lovely stay. Do hope to see you back again sometime in the future. Property Owner

  • "We booked South Grange House for my Dad's 80th and it was absolutely beautiful!"

The setting was perfect, not too far from Southwold where we enjoyed a trip out at lunchtime. The house itself was a wonderful entertainment house to celebrate in! It was dog friendly too which is a total bonus to us as a family! Facilities where great and we really enjoyed the use of the Wood Fire Hot Tub. Our friendly contact from start to finished was attentive and we would definitely recommend to our friends and family and would love to return again in the future! Thank you

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful four-generation New Year/new baby/birthday celebration at South Grange House."

The house is even lovelier than the photos suggest; spacious and welcoming, very comfortable and beautifully appointed, a delight to explore and well laid out for a larger group. Family meals around the huge kitchen table were a joy, with ample china, glasses and cutlery provided. We recommend South Grange House without reservation and hope to return.

  • "Hello, Its a lovely house."

Thank you for having us. The instructions you send out before arrival state that the key safe is next to the front door. It is not! It's on a seperate outhouse away from the main building. My Mum and Dad spent 45 mins in the pitch black and cold searching for a way to get in. When they phoned the contact number they had no further information to help. Just needs an update to the instructions! The kitchen was well equipped with the excpetion of a vegtable peeler which was sorley missed and made a roast dinner for 11 very labour intensive! Otherwise, a lovely stay. :) Katie
