  • "We really enjoyed our week's stay in The Seed Store."

The location was perfect, with the vast majority of our day's out a maximum of a 30 minute drive away. Whilst the house is close to the main road, there was not a noticeable level of noise. We would however recommend that the image of the kitchen is updated, as upon arrival the fridge/freezer was considerably smaller than the one pictured in the images provided. Thankfully this was not an issue for us, but if we needed more freezer space (I.e. more than a thin shelf) then we would have been in trouble. We also noticed upon arrival that the property was not as clean as we expected - with several spider webs found and a lot of dust/dirt on the floors. We would still recommend this property, these are just minor points!

  • "#Disappointing that the paths round the fields opposite were obstructed by the overgrown thorn bushes on both sides of the walkway ie from the surrounding hedges and the newer field boundary hedges."

While we were there the maintenance crew took the mower along the paths but the machine had no facility for cutting above ground level. #The oven controls would benefit from clearer operating instructions!

  • "This is a lovely property - a very interesting and skilful conversion, and very peaceful (despite its proximity to a fairly busy country road)."

One or two very small niggles: the kitchen had nowhere, other than a fairly small fridge, in which to store food. Given the inevitability of flies, we should have welcomed a cupboard of some description - all the available kitchen units were full. We should also have liked to have the use of some smaller pans (it is a home for 2 people, so the very large pans were rather superfluous),a wooden spoon or two, and a clothes airer (or washing line). In all other respects - 5 star.

Thank you for your kind words on the conversion of The Seed Store - it certainly was a labour of love. We will take a look into the organisation of the kitchen to see about releasing some cupboard space & the inventory - appreciate the feedback and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Beautiful location. It didn’t bother us but the road is a bit noisy at times.

  • "The Seed Shed was easy to find due to the very accurate directions provided, there was plenty parking outside and it was also easy to gain access."

On arrival all of the radiators, apart from one, were turned off so it was a bit chilly but once they had been turned on it became warm within an hour, throughout our stay the heating was more than adequate for the size of building and we had ample hot water. The nicely furnished bedroom was big with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed, The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was large with had big fluffy towels and a good rainfall shower. The obvious main attraction was the big open main sitting room with views over the fields, a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun (there was also outside seating but it was too cold to use it in April). We liked the retro furniture and the way the historic elements of the property had been retained but mixed with modern glass and metal). Wi-fi was fast enough for our needs and for streaming on the TV. Although it is located close to a road we had no problem with road noise, in the evening there wasn't much traffic at all. There are 2 very good pubs within 4 miles and both the local attractions and the sea are just a short distance away. We would certainly consider staying again

  • "A lovely stay, the place was toddler and dog friendly and nearly everything had been thought of."

Maybe mention you don't have a cafetiere in the listing. We were very inspired by the space and will use some ideas in our own self build. A really comfortable, practical, and beautiful place. Good location to nice areas of Suffolk.

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad you had a lovely time. I didn’t realise the cafetière wasn’t there, it has now been replaced with a new one. Property Owner

  • "On first impressions the Seed Store is a well designed and modern place to stay."

However, the advert says it has "some" road noise. Well, the road noise continued all night and was difficult to sleep (heavy traffic at 3am!!!). The shower is very slippy when used and is a real hazard especially if you have mobility issues like my wife. The mattress on the bed was too small for the frame. I had to wash the pans and kitchen utensils before use. There are no blinds to the living area which makes privacy non existant and also cannot keep the area cool. The tv is really small and useless in such a big space. Certainly will not be going back there!!!

  • "The directions are the worst I have ever encountered."

The previous occupants also had trouble. We spent nearly an hour before ringing you and finding it. If you give landmarks you also need to put distances between them. It didn’t help that the actual property sign had branches obscuring it. Saying you look for High Ash Farm but not saying that is where you turn off the main road. The property was very good although the pictures gave a very false impression of the openness outside the house showing cattle in the field, you cannot see any fields as the hedges are 2m high.

Kitchen is so spacious and easy to use. I love the Eames chair - perfect for reading, relaxing and even watching the occasional TV

  • "The heating needs sorting!"

We visited in September 2022 and we had to get someone to come and look at it and it's still the same, you can't turn radiator in lounge off at all so it's so hot! Also need a new frying pan as everything sticks

  • "We absolutely loved the seed store."

Everything you might need is there. We could’ve happily lived there. Our dog loved it too. We saw Hares in the fields and pheasants wandering around on the patio. Yes, there’s a bit of road noise but it made no difference to us. The only issue an it wasn’t a show stopper was the heating; when we thought we’d turned it down and off on the controls, it kept coming on.
