From the moment you arrive at this large Victorian house, painted a vibrant blush colour, its elegant façade sets the tone for the character and charm found within.

Stylish lights in the hallway guide you through the entrance, where original features and thoughtful touches begin to unfold.

Upon entering this vibrant abode, you will be greeted by an open-plan area, where the kitchen, dining room, and sitting room seamlessly blend together.

In the kitchen, mornings begin with brewing a fresh coffee or flipping pancakes straight from the hob at the breakfast bar, while the breakfast table offers a welcoming spot to share a light meal or chat over tea.

For larger gatherings, the dining room, with its seating for ten guests, is perfect for hosting memorable meals, enhanced by more bold colours and playful décor.

After meals, simply pop the dishes in the dishwasher and unwind.

The sitting room, adorned with bright, vibrant décor and furnishings, invites you to relax by the woodburning stove and enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV, all while basking in the natural light streaming in from the bay window.

Before retreating to the bedrooms, guests can freshen up in one of the property’s three thoughtfully styled washrooms, one on each floor.

On the first floor, take a glorious soak in the freestanding bath surrounded by peach, yellow, and green tones, with polished tiles adding a refined elegance.

The second-floor shower room invites you to step into a plush walk-in shower, with purple and yellow accents and gleaming polished tiles creating a harmonious atmosphere.

On the third floor, the en-suite offers a tranquil escape, tucked beneath the eaves with a Velux window and a walk-in shower that feels both private and serene.

A handy cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the interior of this delightful retreat.

Antique elements have been thoughtfully incorporated into the bathroom wash stands, adding a touch of heritage to the experience.

The property boasts five beautifully decorated bedrooms spread over four floors.

On the first floor, you will find a king-size bedroom with a bay window and a twin room, with zip and link beds that can be made into a king size bed on request.

The second floor houses another king-size bedroom, this one with a bay window offering distant sea views, and an inviting double room.

The third floor is home to a final king-size bedroom tucked in the eaves, with a Velux window framing stunning sea views, and benefitting from an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC.

Original flooring in the bedrooms adds warmth and authenticity, while vibrant colours flow throughout, with each room offering a unique and harmonious ambience that blends plush comfort with elegant charm.

Outside, you will find an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, perfect for enjoying the coastal air and dining alfresco.

Gather with friends or family for a leisurely afternoon of drinks and laughter under the open sky, making the most of this peaceful outdoor haven.

A pleasurable stroll down the hill will lead you through the winding paths to Hastings Old Town, featuring plenty of vintage shops, art galleries and eclectic eateries, and then onto the Stade area which hosts concerts by the beach, the arcade and fairground.

Art lovers can visit the Hastings Contemporary and the De La Warr Pavilion close by in Bexhill on Sea.

Or check out the rejuvenated and award-winning Hastings Pier where you can amble along the wooden planks and take in exceptional views of the sea.

For the history enthusiasts, check out Hastings Castle and the Shipwreck Museum, or further afield the famous Battle Abbey, the site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings, which offers a fascinating insight into our nation's past.

Thrill-seekers should not miss a visit to the Smugglers Adventure Caves and the True Crime Museum, with a chilling collection of criminal artefacts housed in the atmospheric cavernous caves under the pier.

HASTINGS

  • Battle 6 miles
  • Rye 12 miles

The large historic town of Hastings offers a great mix of interesting places to visit, and is comprised of three parts, joined by the promenade. On one side is the Old Town, with narrow streets or 'twittens', attractive houses, Shipwreck and Fisherman's museums, wonderful tall black net huts, a fresh fish market, seafood restaurants and cafés. In the middle there is a contemporary shopping centre and on the other side is St Leonards on Sea with its fashionable Norman Road with antique and vintage shops, art galleries, examples of Burton's architecture (of Kew Gardens and London Zoo fame), Marine Court Art Deco flats designed in the shape of the HMS Queen Mary, and the remains of the Amsterdam, which is visible at low tide at Bulverhythe. West Hill in Hastings is home to the Smugglers Adventure and Pelham Beach, and East Hill offers the Hastings Country Park, 660 acres of ancient woodlands, grasslands and heathlands crossing five miles over cliffs and rugged terrain, plus East Hill can also be reached by taking the 'lift', the steepest funicular railway in Britain. Whilst exploring Hastings, visit The Stade and watch fishermen land their catch, plus why not take a trip to Blue Reef Aquarium and the remains of Hastings Castle? Pevensey Castle, dating from the 4th century, and the first Norman Church are twelve miles away. Further afield enjoy the NT properties of Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst and Scotney Castle, the cinque port of Rye, the abbey at Battle or the beach and dunes at Camber Sands.
