"A delight to stay in, warm, comfortable and spacious, if you are garden lover then you are in seventh heaven having your own access to the gardens."
Beware of Google maps which shows Garden Lodge on the opposite side of the Main road from the National Trust Gardens car park, go right to the back of car park where you will find your allocated parking space by a gap in the wall which says 'staff only'.

"Very comfortable and well maintained cottage inside the magical gardens."
A gem. Spacious, very comfortable beds, very warm, pleasant interior, high quality bedding and towels, really nice welcome gift of local goodies, flowers. We were there at Christmas and the Christmas tree was waiting for us, which was a fabulous touch. Very friendly and helpful management. The only feedback would be, more kitchenware. The place is truly magical and comfortable and waking up every morning in the gardens with the birds singing was like a fairytale.

"We absolutely loved this house, one of the most peaceful and comfortable yet."
The location is fabulous, sheltered by the hills behind and the trees of the gardens, we hardly noticed the fairly ferocious wind and rain of our first day. The house has a lot of space, so we did not feel on top of each other at all, the rooms were all a really good size, beautifully fitted out and the furnishings all extremely comfortable. Very comfy beds, 2 bathrooms..a large space in the rear porch room to leave wet coats and boots A big kitchen with every piece of equipment and utensil you might need and plenty of crockery.
Our welcome pack was a very pleasant surprise and much appreciated after a long wet drive up the A9. The best part for us was just being in the lovely surroundings of Poolewe, the actual place, which we know well from previous trips, has so much to offer. Idyllic. To have such a great place to stay and with free access to the Inverewe Gardens was the cherry on top. We loved being able to step out in the evening and wander down to the walled garden and the shore of Loch Ewe,and the garden staff were so friendly and gave us useful tips of what we could still find to look at this late in the year - a surprising lot! Definitely one to repeat, absolute stunner.
Thank you for your kind and generous review, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay as well as the beautiful and peaceful location. Our team onsite are brilliant and always happy to have a chat about the grounds, we'd love to welcome you back again soon.

"The most beautiful holiday cottage with wonderful traditional National Trust decor in a stunning setting, couldn’t ask for more."
A very comfortable place to stay, beds super comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers and bath, big spacious rooms, well heated, as well as lots of practical spaces and sparkly clean. We had lovely sunny weather for our week in February and enjoyed exploring the garden as well as going out to the local beaches and mountains, even in rainy weather this would be a magical place to stay. Thank you very much, we would love to visit again.
Many thanks for your lovely comments, Garden Lodge has come back online for 2025 . It is in a great location, after the day visitors have left yourselves and the guests in Inverewe Apartment have the garden to yourselves.

"Another great weekend staying at the Inverewe Garden Lodge, exploring the gardens and local area in the winter season."
It's a comfortable and beautiful cottage to stay in, with all the facilities we needed for a young family, and plenty to do nearby if you like exploring the gardens and range of beautiful local beaches. The cafe at the GALE Centre, and toddler sessions in the Poolewe Pool, were indoor highlights. We couldn't get a standard TV connection to work, but you can watch TV online through iPlayer / Prime / Disney+ etc. through the Smart TV if you have accounts (WiFi is fine for this, especially if you turn the quality down). We hope to come back again soon!

"My son and I stayed there from 26th Nov."
- 3rd Dec. It's in a beautiful location of course and the gardening staff I met were all very friendly. Basically, apart from dust build up on top of the fridge, we really liked the house and we would love to stay there again. However, the big let down was the internet connection. The bandwidth is very restrictive and connecting to the internet is also restricted to really just the sitting room. The situation with the TV compounds the problem. There is a wired connection from a satellite dish to a 'Freesat' box. However the output from that box is a scart connection but there is no scart connection available on the TV! All TV services are therefore provided via the internet. That would normally be fine but, because of the small bandwidth provided by the chosen ISP, watching TV and doing anything else on the internet is not really possible. A better internet connection is available locally via BT and indeed for the last 6 years my son and I have stayed within half a mile of the cottage and enjoyed excellent internet services. As I say, we would like to book again but not until access to a better internet service is provided.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us albeit it with slow broadband which we are so sorry for. We tried to get superfast broadband in Feb 2020 when BT and our own IT department did a review on site, however our unique location and distance from exchange made it uneconomically viable at this stage. I do understand that other properties in the area have faster broadband than us but this is not uniform across Wester Ross. The good news is we are due a further visit Feb 2023 to look at alternative solutions for the entire site but I cannot give you, at this time, any guarantee that this will be successful. We have however, thanks to your feedback, updated our web site to inform our guests of this prior to arrival

"We had a brilliant family holiday at the Garden Lodge, enjoying the beautiful gardens with very few other visitors, as well as exploring the beaches, landscape and cafes nearby."
The lodge is cosy and comfortable, especially with the fire roaring! Reliable WiFi is limited to the living spaces, which worked fine for us. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lodge to other visitors, and would have booked a return trip already if it wasn't so popular!
Thank you for the lovely review, just for your information we now have a first floor apartment that sleeps 6 in Inverewe House. This is the large white house further into the garden which has superb views. and of course private access to the gardens when the public leave for the day.

"A beautiful cottage in a beautiful garden."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the accommodation. The location is amazing with wonderful views from the garden across to Poolewe. It is very convenient for local walks and for the beach at Gairloch and Firemore which were perfect for a 17 month toddler to enjoy.
Many thanks for your positive feedback, the gardens were still looking very colourful as we were there to view a new property the same week you stayed. We now have an apartment in the main Inverewe House available which sleeps 6 people., just refurbished this summer.

"We throughly enjoyed our break."
Having stayed at the Garden Lodge a few years back, we knew what to expect. It is very quiet and peaceful, especially after the Visitor Centre closes it’s doors for the day. The gardens themselves provided many walks during our stay, as we were blessed with dry, sunny weather for the majority of the week.
The cottage was clean and very comfortable. After reading previous reviews, we had taken some cleaning supplies etc., but there were plenty available when we arrived. They pretty much had thought of everything and the welcome tray was very much appreciated after a long trip north.
It was interesting to see the changes in the area over the last few years. We noticed a few places had closed but a few new ones had opened too.
Any disappointments? Yes, yet again we failed to see the local pine martens! Plenty of other wild life on view but these little creatures didn’t make an appearance.
Would we come back? Very definitely. A lovely cottage in a beautiful location.
Thank you very much for your kind words, hopefully you will get to see a Pine Marten some day soon. I read they like peanuts!

"The cottage at Inverewe Garden is one of the nicest of many holiday rentals we've stayed in over the years; beautiful location, 24-hour access to the gardens, loads of space in the house, well-furnished, clean and comfortable."
.. everything we could ask for and good value for money in our opinion. Some people comment on the lack of privacy by having windows opening into the gardens where visitors walk closely past but the different level between the paths and rooms meant that we didn't see this as an issue; besides, we were out most days so it really wasn't a concern. The only negative point concerns the separation of general waste and recycling; previous tenants had not followed the guidance provided (e.g. no plastic bags nor glass etc) so the blue bin had not been emptied and had been stickered by the disposal company. Perhaps the cleaners (or someone) could check the recycling periodically to ensure it complies and is therefore able to be emptied.
Thank you for your great comments about Garden Lodge at Inverewe. We are very lucky in having a cottage in a world renowned garden. WE do encourage guests to recycle, unfortunately part of the problem is that every council in Scotland has different coloured bins and recycle different amounts of products, this makes it very confusing. We are going to look again at recycling this year and see if we can do more to inform our guests.

"Brilliant cottage."
First the minor issues, Yes the midges are a pain ( a midge net and smidge sorts them out) and the cottage is right next to the visitors entrance to the garden so not exactly private. But, don’t be put off. The cottage is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Loads of space and so quiet and peaceful. Make sure you are first in for the master bedroom, the view is to die for. Everything you can need is catered for. Having the visitor centre so close is a blessing, lots of helpful advice and really friendly. Regular access to the garden especially when no one else is there is a very special experience. An unexpected bonus regular seal sightings. Don’t miss the boat trip.
