This collection offers fantastic countryside and loch views to admire, open-plan living areas to indulge in at any time of the day, making it a lovely base for families or a group of friends looking for a getaway, while the surroundings enjoy nearby rivers and lakes where you can head out for gorgeous strolls in the amazing rural setting. If you don’t fancy cooking, give the chef of the group a break at one of the nearby eateries, such as The Ferry Inn for some hearty Scottish grub or Skye Monkstadt 1745 Restaurant for a fine dining experience. All the pubs and restaurants of Portree are just a short drive away. Venture out to explore Uig, where you can enjoy a visit to the Fairy Glen, a whimsical landscape of grassy mounds and spiralling paths, perfect for a gentle walk and photo opportunities. The Uig Pottery offers a chance to browse handcrafted ceramics inspired by the island’s natural beauty, while boat trips from the harbour provide access to nearby islets and wildlife spotting. Some of the most famous hikes and trails on Skye are just a short drive away  (The Old Man of Storr, Quiraing Walk). Over in Dunvegan, the iconic Dunvegan Castle invites exploration of its historic interiors and lush gardens, while Coral Beach offers a scenic spot for a coastal stroll. The Giant MacAskill Museum adds a quirky touch, celebrating the life of one of Scotland’s tallest men. In Rigg, guests can take in panoramic views from the Quiraing, a dramatic landslip with walking trails, visit the nearby Staffin Beach to hunt for dinosaur footprints, or enjoy a peaceful moment at Loch Mealt, a freshwater loch with a cascading waterfall nearby. Fall in love with the beauty of Scotland at Kingsburgh Retreats.
