"We have had a wonderful week and the house has been an ideal place to stay with everything we have needed for a pleasant stay."
Spacious and really fit for purpose. Essentials (tea, coffee etc) in house were really welcome

"Beautiful cottage very comfortable ,clean and warm ."
Location is ideal for exploring the whole island and still remote to have a peaceful relaxing holiday and lovely beach 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great holiday.

"An excellent property in a perfect location for us."
Comfortable bed and large kitchen equipped with all the essentials. Not many places to eat out locally so the kitchen for us was important. A great place for a quiet break, with stunning scenery and perfect beaches.
-
"Very good garden for a dog - secure and roomy."
Wonderful shower. Great roomy kitchen, very comfy bed. Would have liked a larger clothes horse and a washing line ( there were poles for one bur no line). Close to North West coast path.

"A lovely holiday home for us (couple and a dog)."
The cottage manages to be bright and airy whilst being cosy too. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, good shower and a well equipped kitchen. Megan was a great proactive communicator. Garden is great for the dog, completely enclosed and lots of space. We had a great week.

"Had an excellent stay."
Perfect for a couple and a dog. Plenty of room. Loved the huge kitchen and the comfortable bed. Great place to base ourselves for a few days on Lewis and Harris.

"The cottage was clean and in good repair."
However felt it lacked a few things that would have made it more homely. A few pictures on the walls. Lack of some utensils eg more cutlery, colander, only one tea towel. No place mats for the table. Feel the dining table would be better with chairs rather than benches. A couple of loungers for the back of the cottage which is a lovely suntrap. The garden is very dog friendly and secure. Olive our black lab loved the chickens More information for guest regarding the surrounding area. No emergency information eg. doctors, vet etc

Dalbeg is a picturesque village nestled on the northwest coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. With its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and warm community spirit, Dalbeg offers visitors a tranquil retreat and a glimpse into the island's past. With its fascinating history that stretches back thousands of years, the village's name is derived from the Scottish Gaelic "Dail Beag," meaning "small meadow"; it has been inhabited since ancient times, with evidence of Neolithic settlements and standing stones in the surrounding area. The village also played a significant role during the Lewis and Harris land struggles in the 19th century, as crofters fought for their rights and land reform- today, the village reflects the resilience and heritage of its inhabitants. The pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters of Dalbeg Beach are a must-see, take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, breathe in the fresh sea air and perhaps even dip your toes in the Atlantic Ocean. Just a short drive from Dalbeg, you'll find the Arnol Blackhouse, a well-preserved traditional croft house that offers a glimpse into the island's rural past, as well as Callanish Standing Stones. Embark on a wildlife-watching boat tour from nearby locations like Stornoway and keep an eye out for majestic whales and playful dolphins or make the most of your ideal location by exploring the unspoiled landscapes on foot with the West Side Coast Path, Liamisiadair and Gearrannan Walk and the Borvis and Brue walking routes within accessible reach. A lovely place to begin your next Scottish adventure.
