  • "We had a fabulous time at the Barn."

The photos actually don't do it justice, it's been superbly decorated and is a beautiful place to stay. The host was very welcoming and gave us plenty of information. The Barn itself was spacious and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. The views out of the windows are just lovely and serene and we felt able to properly relax. We would not hesitate to recommend the Barn to anyone else, the price, location and property itself are all wonderful.

I absolutely thrilled to read your lovely feedback and thank you so much. It would be lovely to see you both again at some point in the future. Property Owner

  • "On arrival, the owner made us very welcome."

The barn is well-equipped and very comfortable. It was nice each morning to have breakfast watching Dotty, the old stallion, enjoying his breakfast too, in the adjoining field. The surrounding countryside, rivers, canals and villages made for a quintessential English landscape and added to our enjoyment. The farmyard is still a work in progress but is being developed into a desirable holiday location.

Thank you for choosing The Barn for your holiday. It was lovely to meet you both and I’m very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

ASTWOOD BANK

Redditch 3.9 miles; Alcester 5 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 12.8 miles

Astwood Bank is a well-established village on the northern edge of Worcestershire, sitting just a short drive from Redditch and within easy reach of Birmingham. It has the feel of a place that knows exactly what it is: traditional, practical, and quietly self-contained. The village centre offers everyday essentials, including local shops, pubs, takeaways, and schools, all stitched together by a strong community spirit that hasn’t been over-polished for tourists. Surrounded by open countryside, Astwood Bank provides easy access to walking routes and rural lanes, while still benefiting from excellent road and rail links nearby. Redditch brings larger supermarkets, leisure facilities, and a train line to Birmingham New Street, making commuting straightforward rather than heroic. For days out, the Worcestershire countryside, Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Lickey Hills are all within comfortable reach. Astwood Bank suits those who want village life without isolation, a proper place to live, not a theme park version of one.
