The property

1 Dingle Cottage sits quietly within the rolling Worcestershire countryside, a thoughtfully renovated retreat that feels both rooted in tradition and carefully refreshed for modern living.

Ideal for friends or families craving fresh air and slower mornings, this characterful cottage celebrates its heritage while offering a warm, welcoming place to return to after days spent exploring lanes, hills and historic towns.

From the moment you arrive, you will be met by exposed beams and ornamental fireplaces that nod to the cottage’s past, while underfloor heating on the ground floor adds a gentle touch of modern indulgence.

A welcoming hallway leads you into the heart of the home, where an open-plan living space brings everyone together.

Here, the woodburning stove becomes a natural gathering point on cooler evenings, the kitchen is fully fitted for everything from leisurely breakfasts to home-cooked suppers, and the dining table invites long conversations that stretch well into the night.

Tucked away beyond, a second lounge offers a peaceful corner for reading or quiet reflection, while the adjoining boot room provides a practical space for muddy boots, coats and canine companions after countryside adventures.

Upstairs, the cottage continues its calm, considered feel.

Two inviting bedrooms offer restful spaces to recharge, one featuring a flexible king-size zip and link bed and the other a welcoming double.

A sleek shower room completes the floor, finished with a rainfall shower that feels wonderfully refreshing after a day outdoors.

Outside, the mature garden is a pleasure to spend time in, with lawn and established shrubs creating a sense of privacy and connection to the surrounding landscape.

After walking through fields and footpaths, the handy dog wash at the front of the property makes returning home easy and fuss-free.

Beyond the cottage, Worcestershire opens up with a wide variety.

Worcester invites you to explore its striking cathedral, delve into history at The Commandery, or enjoy gentle walks through Gheluvelt Park.

Kidderminster offers the nostalgia of the Severn Valley Railway, family days out at West Midland Safari Park, and green open space at Brinton Park.

Further afield, the Malvern Hills reward walkers with sweeping views, while Malvern Theatre and the Morgan Motor Company visitor centre add culture and craftsmanship to your itinerary.

1 Dingle Cottage offers a characterful base for discovering the best of Worcestershire, where heritage, countryside, and memorable days out come together with ease.

GREAT WITLEY

Worcester 10.3 miles; Ludlow 22.4 miles; Malvern 17.6 miles; Kidderminster 10.5 miles.

An ancient village which has had a settlement since before Norman times, offering a village shop and Post Office and many lovely walks with the Worcestershire Way close by. Witley Court, a palatial 19th century mansion encased in landscaped gardens with impressive fountains owned by English Heritage. Also in the village is a Grade II listed Coaching Inn, The Hundred House Hotel, named as it was the collection point for agricultural tithes from 100 districts. Take a walk to the top of Woodbury Hill, look out the remains of an Iron Age Fort and take in the stunning views across the River Teme to the Malvern Hills beyond. Nestling of the banks of the River Severn is the popular town of Stourport-on-Severn, which offers an abundance of cafes, shops, and charming black and white timbered buildings. The Wyre Forest straddles the borders of Worcestershire and Shropshire and is one of the largest woodlands in the country, much of which is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest with the remainder listed as a Nature Reserve. The forest is home to a vast array of wildlife, including wild woodland birds, moths and adders, as well as a web of excellent footpaths and cycle routes, pony trekking opportunities and a discovery centre. The attractive market town of Bewdley, once described as 'the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire' is just a short drive away, nestling on the banks of the River Severn and offering a good choice of amenities including individual shops, antique and craft galleries. The magnificent Malvern Hills provide a 9-mile range of ancient rock, where you will find many miles of bridleways offering superb, far-reaching views stretching in all directions. This area has some of the best attractions in the country with the Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park, many National Trust properties as well as numerous riverside festivals, regattas and open-air concerts.
