We’ve been here a few times now , why go anywhere else when it’s perfect for our needs , the cottage is well equipt ( I take my own frying pan and 2 cups ) the beach is a 5 min walk down the track and plenty of places to see , we went to the top of snowdon on the train definitely worth a trip up there , the weather was mixed , (if you do take your dogs please don’t leave them in the cottage unattended as we had a couple of nights with dogs barking for hours as they were left alone and could here us through the door )will probably be back again in September

  • "I have stayed at this property many times since 2013 This is the first time I have stayed with Sykes as the management company and I wasn’t impressed at all There was rubbish in the master bedroom, in the lounge and also the downstairs bedroom never has this happened in the past!"

The bins used to be collected by the second cattle grid so how is it that the bin is now outside the gate and it wasn’t clean at all!??? There were dirty dishes sat in the dishwasher and dirty cups & glasses in the cupboards and the grill pan had food stuck on it also there wasn’t any pan scrub supplied so I had to put the dishwasher on before using anything at all disgusting especially as I am immunocompromised not what I have paid £600 for in November. I don’t expect to have to clean somewhere I have paid to rent for a week! The downstairs shower room was dirty too there was a daddy long legs corpse & spiders web (so been there some time) blowing in the huge draft from the window. The window actually looked as though it’s about to fall out making this room far too cold and unusable. I had to keep the door closed so the draught didn’t permeate through the rest of the property. I have rheumatoid arthritis so being cold actually hurts. There was no welcome give upon arrival which there always has been in the past this was the 10th time I’ve stayed at this property. In the downstairs shower room there was enough toilet paper to use once and less than 1/8 of a roll So not only did I have to put the dishwasher on, empty the bins I then had to go out to the shop for toilet roll & a pan scrub/sponge to clean the worktops The rest of the property was the same as always apart from the log burner being gone and replaced by a huge tv. Also had a problem with sheep appearing in the back garden which was amusing at first but meant that I had to check for sheep before letting the dogs out somewhat complicating matters, the owners were notified and were supposed to be attending to the broken fencing just above the wall. My dogs are all herding breeds one of whom tried to follow the sheep she’s a Romanian herding dog so she felt it’s ok for her to follow them, however it isn’t and farmers are well within their rights to shoot a dog that may or may not be a threat to their livestock. Bearing all this in mind it saddens me to say that I’m not sure I will be back to this property following this poor experience.

  • "The cottage is lovely, and its location is fabulous."

The views are amazing, and its proximity to the beach is great for walking the dogs. All in all a well presented accommodation, with very comfortable beds and It’s very well equipped. Sadly, I would advise the owners to get new cleaners, as that’s the only thing that lets it down. However, we would stay there again.

  • "What a beautiful place to stay."

The views all around the house are fabulous and sitting around the table in the conservatory either eating or playing board games was perfect. There was plenty of space for a couple with a small baby and a dog plus 2 single people in the cottage, we never felt on top of one another. Beds were very comfy and the shower upstairs was really good.

  • "This property is no way a 4 Star, it needs a good dose of TLC, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness plus the lack of basic kitchen items, we arrived during bad weather with heavy rain, no door mat so had to use our dogs towel to avoid soaking all the floors bringing our 2 car loads in the house."

I washed the lounge floor and settees straight away and my husband hoovered the stairs before our family arrived next day! The stair carpet is filthy, con webs and dead flies everywhere. The bedroom window was broken so unable to open during the hot weather. We have used Sykes for many years but this has left a bad feeling about using them again. There are two positives about this place 1 being the views and 2 the beds are comfortable! For £850 a week I’d expect better than this.

  • "Whilst the house is a little dated in its presentation, the listing was accurate."

The access road is as you'd expect for the house location a little narrow but wasn't a problem and locationwise was handy for trips out to the.main resorts and beaches and both large supermarkets and the retail park, should you need it, were only 15-20 mins away The views at the house are amazing with both surrounding countryside and views of the coast. The birds and farm life surrounding is lovely to watch from the large conservatory. The house is spacious which was perfect for us a family of 5 adults and a toddler. Access to the EV charger was a massive plus and easy to use. Access to the beach was a 8-10 minute stroll each way which was a nice walk. We had a lovely relaxing break and would definitely use again.

  • "Cleaning was not done properly."

Spider webs near some windows and in bathroom, broken glass under settee. No vacuum cleaner present in property. No pasta bowls and no micro waveable dish available. Property was comfortable re furniture but garden was not advertised as being shared with main house. Not all people like our big dog.

  • "Property is filthy."

bedding wasn't changed. poo stains in toilets, mouse droppings in cupboard. we had to buy cleaning products so we could stay. spoken to owner who said we would have cleaner here this morning but they haven't showed up.

  • "We loved the conservatory and the walk to the beach."

Our grandson loved the treehouse. The beds were very comfortable although the bedding was a little tired. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped, but we did purchase a couple of cooking utensils which we were happy to leave in the cottage. The layout of the properties means that the garden areas appear to belong to the house rather than the cottage. There isn't really anything that can be done about this so its not a complaint. However, as the only dedicated outside space is a small patio area, giving the metal bench a lick of paint would make it look more attractive to use.
