1-Bed Barn Conversion, Sleeps 2 with Parking is a romantic cottage set in the village of Niwbwrch on the Isle of Anglesey.

Well-suited to couples seeking a relaxed base within easy reach of coast and countryside in North Wales.

Pulling into the off-road parking space, arrival feels simple and unhurried, giving you time to take in the character of the barn before stepping inside.

From the outset, the property hints at its heritage, with original features setting the tone for a stay shaped by texture, light, and thoughtful details.

Inside, the layout flows naturally, leading you through to the kitchen where the day often begins.

Mornings lend themselves to slow starts, kettle on, coffee brewing, and plans taking shape over breakfast before heading out.

Later in the day, this space becomes a welcome return point, ready for preparing relaxed evening meals after time spent exploring the island.

The bedroom sits tucked beneath the eaves, creating a sense of retreat, with exposed beams and a wooden ceiling drawing the eye upward.

Velux windows invite natural light to spill across the space, while a stone wall and panelled wall add depth and warmth to the room.

The bed is positioned for lingering mornings, with a TV and a pouffe nearby for evenings spent unwinding with a favourite programme or a good book.

A plush freestanding bath with a handheld shower takes centre stage within the bedroom, encouraging long soaks at the end of the day.

It is a space designed for slowing the pace, whether easing tired legs after a coastal walk or simply enjoying a quiet moment before turning in for the night.

A cloakroom with basin and WC adds everyday practicality, keeping the layout easy and well-balanced for two.

Stepping back outside, the surrounding area invites gentle exploration.

A nearby river offers an appealing route for a stroll, while the village pub and shop sit close enough to reach without planning ahead, making it easy to dip into local life during your stay.

Further afield, the wider area opens up a variety of memorable days out.

Eryri National Park draws you inland with its dramatic scenery, where winding roads lead to mountain passes, lakes reflecting shifting skies, and walking routes that range from gentle rambles to more ambitious climbs, all rewarded with sweeping views.

It is a place where time is well spent following footpaths, pausing at viewpoints, and finishing the day with food in a welcoming café.

Beaumaris offers a contrasting experience by the water, with its impressive castle rising above the town, colourful streets lined with independent shops, and a seafront ideal for slow walks beside the Menai Strait.

Here, afternoons drift easily between exploring historic walls, enjoying fresh seafood, and watching boats move across the water. Along the coast, Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Beach create a distinctive blend of woodland and shoreline.

Paths weave through tall pines before opening onto wide sands with views across to the mountains, while the tidal island of Llanddwyn adds a sense of discovery, with its lighthouse, ruined buildings, and links to Welsh legend encouraging exploration at an unhurried pace.
