The property

Ravenstone (Pet) rests on Aysgarth Holiday Park, near Leyburn, North Yorkshire, where the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales begin to unfold.

With on-site parking and space for two well-behaved pets, it’s a place that welcomes you into the landscape as much as the lodge itself.

Step through the door, and the rhythm of the space reveals itself.

Four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins, are thoughtfully arranged to suit families or friends travelling together.

Each room offers a quiet corner to pause between outings, with soft touches that reflect the simplicity of rural life.

The main bathroom, complete with a bath and shower over, a heated towel rail, basin, and WC, also houses a discreet washing machine for those practical moments.

A second shower room, fitted with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, ensures mornings run smoothly.

At the centre of the lodge, the open-plan living area draws everyone together.

The kitchen, equipped with everything needed for self-catering, makes light work of mealtimes.

From an oven and hob to a microwave and dishwasher, it’s all here.

The dining table becomes a natural gathering point, where stories from the day are shared over plates passed around.

As evening settles, the lounge offers a Smart TV for relaxed viewing.

Outside, the private decking area invites you to linger.

Whether it’s a soak in the hot tub beneath shifting skies or a quiet moment with a drink in hand, the fresh Yorkshire air adds its own charm.

With outdoor furniture ready and waiting, it’s a space that adapts to the mood of the day.

Ravenstone (Pet) offers a welcoming base for those looking to explore, connect, and experience the beauty of this remarkable region.

AYSGARTH

Castle Bolton 4 miles; Hawes 9 miles; Leyburn 7 miles.

The idyllic Wensleydale village of Aysgarth is situated in a walker's paradise close to well known Aysgarth Falls and impressive Bolton Castle which dates back to 1379. Aysgarth Falls have attracted visitors for over 200 years, famously Ruskin, Turner and Wordsworth all visited and enthused about the 'falls' outstanding beauty. In the 19th century Aysgarth was a staging post and many a traveller would make their way down to view the falls from the bridge. Today, many will recognise the Upper Falls from the film Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. In the nearby Freeholders' Wood, where the ancient art of coppicing is still carried out and visitors will find hazel, ash and wild cherry, among others. The woodland is carpeted with wildflowers in spring and is home to over 120 species. Aysgarth makes an excellent holiday location for walkers, offering a great base from which to explore both Wensleydale and Swaledale, with beauty spots in the area including Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater, castles at both Bolton and Middleham and of course, Hardraw Force - England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft! There are also lots of interesting market towns and villages to visit, including Hawes, Leyburn and Bainbridge, to name but a few.
