  • "Just back from a fabulous 5 days at Wood Cottage, which is absolutely stunning."

    The house is immaculate inside and out and set in the middle of a beautiful quiet area, with walks up to the reservoir. It is perfectly placed to explore places like Grassington, Skipton, Ilkley and Bolton Abbey, all of which we crammed into our short stay (transport is a must as it is out of the way). The hot tub (with supplied robes and slippers) was the icing on the cake – lying in the there, listening only to the sheep and birds! There was also a lovely welcome pack for us, and treats for the dog - and a dog bed was already there. We absolutely loved Wood Cottage, and the nearby cottages look as amazing too, what a perfect cottage. Thank you for letting us stay! A little note for potential stayers, there is no washing machine and a small dog could get under the main gate – although the rest is perfectly secured.

  • "Wood cottage was amazing."

    Spotless as if no one had been there before. The house location was beautiful. Very modern and stylish and tastefully decorated. Hot tub was amazing and warm and ready to use as we arrived. Our dog was very happy as he was catered for also with a bed indoors and a sun lounger outside…as well as dog treats. The house and the hosts I can’t rate highly enough. The same sadly cannot be said for Sykes. Wood cottage and their owners came to the rescue an hour before checking in at another property in Kirkby Lonsdale. We had travelled with 4 children and were enjoying a picnic prior to checking in when Sykes cottages cancelled our booking by email. Apparently ‘ removed from listings’ After many phone calls we managed to find beautiful wood cottage however it was an hour away. Sykes staff were very rude and dismissive. They also insisted we paid the difference in price as wood cottage was slightly more expensive. Will always be grateful for the owners of wood cottage for saving our holiday and would definitely love to return again.
