  • "The setting of the cottage is lovely and the views are great."

The cottage is extremely clean, however there are a few downsides. The bed was very small and somewhat uncomfortable and the sliding wardrobe doors didn’t open properly. When taking a shower the water went all over the floor as the channel in the middle was too narrow and you had to put the shower facing the wall rather than in the middle to try to avoid getting water everywhere. This meant the towels were soaking as had to try to mop the water up. The toilet seat was ill fitting and kept sliding, so ended up nipping legs. There were zero instructions left for the most complicated washing machine I’ve ever seen and to this day I don’t know if it was a washer/drier, it was a guessing game as to how to use it, and considering this property has underfloor heating there wasn’t a clothes airer so ended up having to lay clothes on the floor in an attempt to dry them. Not ideal at all and there was nowhere outside to dry clothes either. My parter tried to call the numbers but didn’t receive a response until a third attempt by which point I had given up with the washer and had to go to the launderette in another village. The oven had one shelf so it made it really difficult to cook things together as there simply wasn’t room. There were brand new, what appeared to be shelves in the drawer under the oven but these didn’t fit so were of no use. There was no flat frying pan, just a wok so trying to cook an omelette was a challenge. The property and the welcome could be so much better and the fact it has so few bookings speaks volumes really. Also Sunday only check ins seems really silly. We didn’t really feel we were wanted there. Such a shame.

  • "Yh in general a great stay."

Lovely little cottage perfect for a single person or a couple. The. Ed was unfortunately not very comfy. I loved the touch of free eggs from the farm. Great views from the window.

  • "Cottage was very clean and comfortable."

We enjoyed our stay there. The only drawback was that the fridge/freezer didn't work. Luckily, we only had some bacon, milk, butter and sausages we brought with us that had to be thrown away. And as we didn't bring any frozen food with us because we intended to eat out so didn't need the freezer. The owners provided us with a stand alone fridge as soon as we told them so we were able to continue with our stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. A brand new integrated fridge freezer is now installed. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner
